The video for Ali & Gipp’s new single ‘Almost Made Ya’ premiered today. I’ve been liking this Jermaine Dupri-produced song for some time now and it’s great that it finally got the video treatment. Though it’s pretty standard, the video is decent and LeToya is looking on-point – as usual. Be on the lookout for new albums by both Ali & Gipp as well as LeToya in the months ahead.

y not just let Brandy sing the hook? toya sounds o.k but you can clearly hear her singing over brandy’s vocals. it’s o.k. i guess

I like the way they threw “Almost Doesnt Count” in there. I never heard this song till now, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I’m kinda glad they didnt put brandy in it. I think it would have ruined the sample. I like the contrast between toya and brandy’s voices.

I knew that it was something wrong with the hook on the song. Because it doesn’t sound like Letoya at all. I think that they should have either let her do the hook herself or just left the song to Brandy. I think Brandy would have done good with the track…..not saying Toya did bad. It’s just if Brandy is gong to sing the whole hook why not have her featured on the track. Letoya just did the ad-libing.

Brandy only mumbles a couple of adlibs and says Almost Made Ya. Basically it is a loop of the intro to Almost Doesn’t Count. How is she singing on the whole hook

^Exactly, you can hear Brandy in the adlibs, but beyond that, it’s all Le’Toya, which should be obvious since the words are completely different from “Almost Doesn’t Count” Anywho, Letoya looks lovely. JD does it again.

I would have said brandy should have just done the song but with the controversy surrounding her… i don’t know. But nice song though. When fabolous got Ashanti to sing Tamia’s sample, I thought that was dumb. Why get someone else to sing it when the original is still in the game. That was my first reaction to this song but Brandy got a lot going on right now.
