Judging from some of these performances as well as viewer reports, this years show was definitely one of the better instalments of the annual event. Performance of the night, in my opinion, goes to Beyonce and Kelly Rowland’s joint showing. Everything about the performance was on-point; Beyonce nailed ‘Get Me Bodied’ and Kelly had her ‘coming out of the shadows’ moment by tearing down the stage with ‘Like This’ alongside Eve. Another notable performance was from Ciara, who did her thing with a medley of ‘Like A Boy’ and future single ‘That’s Right’. She has definitely upped her stage presence and live vocals too. I also really liked the Dreamgirls opening- which saw Jennifer Hudson perform ‘And I Am Telling You’ with the original Effie, Jennifer Holliday. It was a monumental moment seeing Jennifer Holliday finally get her moment to truly shine as Effie. On a side note, her facial expressions are still priceless lol. 50 Cent’s performance didn’t go…well just watch it lol. Overall it seemed like a great show.

My DC3 girls did the damn thing! I loved it!!
Like I was really expecting Beyonce to do something outlandish to outshine Kelly but I like how it was kinda tame compared to her usual performances and how it incorporated Kelly AND that awesome booty poppin at the end hahaha!

Kelly and Eve-That girl tries soo hard,but there’s always something missing in her performances. This time it was her voice. Eve looked stunning,and sounded great.She gets the “most classy” award for the night. I mean damn,between Bee and Kelly half-ass naked,Lil Kim’s “pop,lock and drop it” routine and Key-Key grabbing her kitty kat, it was refreshing to see Eve do her thang.
*Ciara-Her vocals were terrible which is to be expected, but I thought the outfits were cute,and the dancing was coo.I’ve seen better dance routines from her in the past though.
*Robin Thicke-Excellent! I absoultely LOVE the salsa remix! His vocals were PERFECT, I would venture to say he sounded better than the original track. Dancers were good…a very good performance from Mr.Thicke.
Last and definitely least..
*50 Cent-That was dreadful. What the hell was up wit the long ass instrumental? That shit made it look like he forgot the words! The crowd wasen’t feelin it, and neither was I. I wish that girl he spun around woulda puked on his ass,that would have made it a lil interesting. Time I’ll never get back….damn.

I must have seen a different show because Kelly did not SHUT ANYTHING down!! Her vocals were not on point, nor were her dance steps. All she did was walk around the stage. Eve saved that performance.

I forgot to mention Robin Thicke. I love his CD, but he looked so strange during his performance. His pitch was off at times and his ‘dancing’ should never see the light of day. His movements were jerky and stiff. I found myself laughing at him and saying, ‘bless his heart’.

The show was HOTT….
-Here is how the performances went for me
-1st Beyonce’s and Kelly’s performance feat. eve. The way that they had beyonce open up for kelly was GREAT….Beyonce always sound good and performances are always on point…..but when she introduced Kelly (no one was exspecting that) and Kelly came out all hype…..it was GREAT…Kelly’s vocals weren’t the best that I’ve heard but her performance in all was GREAT.She had energy and stage presence was Fire. She commanded her performace.
-2nd Ciara’s performance was good as well. But her vocals were not their at all. I see people saying stuff about Kelly but saying that Ciara’s performance was better. I don’t know if we saw the same thing or not but, Ciara didn’t hardly sing at all. She talked to the crowd a lot. But other than that vocally she wasn’t there at all she just danced.
3rd Neyo performance was good. But I wished that he didn’t imitate Micheal Jackson as much as he did. But he did good.
4th Keyshia Cole did her song. I say that because Diddy don’t say anything on the song. Keyshia sings the whole song it should be her feat. Diddy. And Lil Kim was hype.
5th would be Robin Thicke even though his perfomnce was weak he tried and he was real good vocally.

Beyonce didn’t “steal” anything from kylie. she got her inspiration from the same place kylie’s team got theirs. I saw this robot thing in some old movie.
anyway I never saw Beyonce stealing anything from other artists, she usually gets her inspirations from other medias such as film and theater and brings it to the stage. I find that very creative. no artist draws ideas out of thin air!

Ok first to start with beyonce and kelly killed it withthe help of michele and thier little sis, thats was hot i had chil bups all over me. Beyonce used the robot entrance from klye and klye used it from a movie and some other singer wil use it again and the cycle continues. Why you don’t talk about a cheat ass aaliyah rip off (videos, songs and dance).
Ne-yo was amazing with a micheal jackson rip off. Ciara (aaliyah #2)was good with out vocals. Was she singing or talking.
Overall the bet awards was good better than before and mo’nique did a good job….bring her back next year bet

Like some of the folks on here I can not give Beyonce props for that performance. My 13 year old niece thought it was the fliest thing she had ever saw, but she had not seen Kylie’s performance. I showed her Kylie’s performance on Youtube and she thought Kylie had taken Beyonce’s entrance … I said no baby, Beyonce bit. For most things in life it makes no sense to reinvent the wheel, but in this case Bey should have tried harder.

Ciara was raw and owned it. There is no one who can dance like that and sing. No she is not a great singer but the child can dance. She is a Great Dancer. I can’t use the word great dancer or great singer with just anyone. Who else can jump off the stage doing the chinese splits, not Janet in her prime (great dancer) or Aalyiah. There is a reason Mo imitates Beyonce’s dance moves and not Ciara.
Some of you people are in denial and I think it’s sad b/c we were all watching the same show 1. Beyonce was lip syncing 2. She took her intro robot idea from Kylie, same as she took Britney’s AMA intro at last Sept at 2006 VMA. 3. The crowd was not into her performance until she announced Kelly and DC + 1 came out. Ciara livened up a dull awards show with her energy. How she was 25 behind Diddy, Prince, & Beyonce is ridiculous.
