In news that many would not have forseen, singer T-Pain’s latest album ‘Epiphany’ has outsold Rihannna’s ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ to secure the #1 position on the Billboard 200 chart. Though mid-week sales indicated neither artist would be in contention for the top spot (Paul McCartney looked set for the position), T-Pain charted at #1 with 171,000 copies sold and Rihanna at #2 – selling 161,000 copies.Now that the numbers are out, I can’t see Rihanna’s label, Def Jam, being pleased with this. Yes it’s her highest debut yet, but with ‘Umbrella’ being so successful (currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100) many expected her to move more units than she did. I guess people weren’t buying into the hype.

No but for real. Her CD was just all around bad with maybe, and I mean maybe 3 aight songs including eh-eh-eh. T-Pain’s CD was actually really good. I got it on the first day and i loved it. It’s a little crazy but it’s really Good. Rhi RhIi has the look but her song skills suck ass

yeh ok she didnt get the number 1 spot but i recon she will continue to sell and stay in the charts for quiet a while. personnaly i dont think her album is great although i still went to buy it coz she will release shut up and drive and then”dont stop the music which will be a massive hit for the summer. so sells for the album will continue even if she didnt get the top spot.

Well I believe that T-Pain is a bigger artist and his song had a bigger impact….maybe not on the charts BUT peeps loved the song and everyone knows he was gonna have a HOT album…and it is very HOT! Rihanna’s album is good as well…its just all down to PROMO and FANS.
