Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard has confirmed earlier reports that all is not well within the group. The starlet posted the following message on her MySpace bulletin:
To answer all the rumors thats been out there about Aubrey and D. Woods pursuing their solo careers. We support them in their decision. However, myself, Aundrea, and Shannon are choosing to continue in our efforts to make Danity Kane the best for our fans who love us and what we represent AND the respect we have for our group.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
AND PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT
Despite already knowing something was up, it still comes as a surprise. Kinda iffy about the new line-up (IMO D. Woods was the centerpiece of the group), but it may work. The best thing to out of all of this is that Aubrey’s gone – she served no purpose. It’ll be interesting to see how this whole situation turns out.

i agree, aubrey was just eye candy! she served absolutely NO purpose! but i disagree with you about d.woods! to me, aundrea is the centrepiece along with dawn! d.woods’ voice just never did it for me! i hope all workd out for them. hey they may be the next dc3! dk3 i’m waiting on your album!

This is not true. Aubrey herself posted a bulletin on MySpace confirming that she is INDEED still in Danity Kane. However, she revealed on a radio interview that the group does not have a manager right now and that she has been calling D. Woods, but her calls haven’t been returned because D. is probably busy.

Dawn, that bitch, tryna take lead position, she needs to sit her ass down… And talk about all them singles she recording for her own solo project..I didn’t really care too much for DK, they were my jam last summer but, i got over them like the rest of the country, still, i would have checked out the 2nd cd, but not if D Woods, isn’t in…
And if they goo solol, what a fuckin’ waste, they ain’t gonna sell by themselves, its’ like DC, all over again. Kelly barelly pushed 80K, this week, she needs Beyonce and Michelle, like DK, needs D.Woods, and Aubrey

i think dawn is the only one with solo potential. as a group and with her lead, i think they’d be more successful. 3 flavors (black/white/latina) and the latina girl can bring the saprano, shannon can add the britney affect. it’s a better look overall…

D. Woods confirmed in a blog on her MySpace that she is NOT leaving Danity Kane. As for the singles on Dawn’s MySpace, those are songs she wrote for Danity Kane’s second album. She posted them for feedback from the fans and if the fans like them, the group will re-record them.

Naww I can’t stand Dawn’s voice, it’s D Woods and Aundrea that are the real singers, and Dawn started this whole mess saying they left then saying sorry for confusion were still together, I think she said that after D Woods checked her, how she speaking for the group when she ain’t spoke to them, and my girl is the one leaking dry ass songs, naww man I think they’ll split cos there’s bound to be bad blood now

i can’t stand d.woods’ voice! lol! she always seemed jealous of aundrea when she got lead! i agree there is bound to be bad blood now and they might end up leaving now, who knows? anyways i though aubrey and aundrea were ‘best friends’ i guess not anymore, and i wonder what d.woods thinks anybody is jealous of her for? puhlease go sit down!
