Slated to be the 2nd single from Chris Brown’s new album ‘Exclusive’, ‘Take You Down’ sees the teen star take on a more mature approach. Prior to now, Brown had played it relatively safe in terms of song subject-matter; yet having turned 18 this year, it was inevitable that he would switch things up with his latest effort. Produced by the Underdogs ‘Take U Down’ is a slow jam with a kind of throwback vibe to it. This lengthy clip of the track is great and has me questioning why it wasn’t chosen as the first single. After hearing this, I’m kinda hopeful that Chris may deliver with this album – which, so far, has been marred by the terrible performance of the generic lead single ‘Wall to Wall’.Hit or Miss?

i’m lovin the hell outta this joint right here. i think the beat is on point and it has a real grown&sexy feel to it. hopefully it’ll b a really good look for chris very soon and i can’t wait 4 the album to drop!!! =]

o hell yeh man dats gonna be #1 for a good minute when it comes out. As a producer I have that feeling when I know something is gonna b hot. and trust me, this song iz gonna BLOW UP. Nice switch up with that grown feel to it. Ima buy me 2 copies of the new CD

The song is better than WALL TO WALL, but it reminds me of USHERS’s U GOT IT BAD. The new material just doesn’t stand out or is equally as good as that on his debut album. While looking forward to his new album, I hope there are better songs on the album than this one and WALL TO WALL.

I agree with the 4th poster. His material this era is a bit dull. I’ve heard a couple of tracks and the only one I cared for is “Take U Down”, and even that is missing something. I don’t know about the song success though, because when I think of Chris Brown, I think of partying and most of his fans expect that too. I’ll just wait and see what the songs does. I thought his label was going to go with a song featuring T-pain.

Im feeling this song frist listen I feel in love with it..Wall to Wall isnt a bad song I guess it just didnt grab everyone but it could def. have done well..hopefully Take You Down will do good!! Either way this is an album Im gonna get

well im not sure how long ago the last time some of you checked ur status on wall to wall..but that song is doing just fine .it took it a minute to get there but it got there n people love it..take u down now thats a hot ass song. n if the video is shot right then he can go places with this song..my only problem is the video cant b all goody goody because the words arent baby words if ur gonna come with it on the song you gotta come with it in the video to..he’s gonna have to take sum risks with this song n hope his fans still love him after the video comes out..but i really like kiss kiss its ony my myspace page the song is hot i dont like Tpain but he definetly brought it to this kiss kiss song him n chris sound good together
