The full/high-quality version of Jennifer Lopez’s new single ‘Hold It, Don’t Drop’ it has finally surfaced; I previewed a clip of the track a few weeks back. After hearing the Midi Mafia produced song in it’s entirety, I still feel it’s sub-par and definitely not the sort of material J.Lo should be putting out if she’s hoping for a successful comeback. At best, it’s listenable, yet it highlights most of what has stunted her recording career in the last couple of years – little substance and poor vocal delivery.Hit or Miss?

Honestly I personaly hated this song the minute I heard it but now that I’ve heard it a couple of more times I think its going to have the umbrella effect! Cause I absolutely hated that song when it came out but then it started to grow on me!

Well I don’t like it, but I didn’t like ‘Get Right’ either and it grew on me I was walking around singing that, just like Umbrella, cos I thought that was garbage and Kelly’s Like This but all three grew on me and are now my jams, so basically I’m saying i’ll see how I go but right now I ain’t feeling it

I don’t like it … I have a feeling it will be followed by a remix fairly quickly.

what is the point of this song? Does she SERIOUSLY think she can fend off Mariah Carey and Madonna’s new album with that bullshit?

I’m feeling it, it’s definitely for the clubs. It’s more on the dance tip than hip hop or r&b. I feel like this song will go over well with an older crowd than the young kids. Especially with the TAVARES, IT ONLY TAKES A MINUTE sample. At least that’s what I think the sample is. Overall, with a hot video the record will get over.

Jennifer Lopez is such a beautiful person. This song shouldn’t be her first, it shouldn’t even have been released as a single. I don’t feel it at all in any way.
What the heck were you thinking woman?
