New Song: Jennifer Lopez ‘Wrong When You’re Gone’ (Snippet)

Following the release of her Spanish album earlier this year, Jennifer Lopez is prepping a new English CD – which is slated to drop in September. ‘Wrong When Your Gone’, which was written by Timbaland protegee and The Clutch member Keri Hilson, is set to feature on the currently-untitled disc. Having really liked Keri’s original version of the track, I feel J.Lo has done the song justice judging by this lengthy clip. The production on this slow jam compliments her, somewhat, limited vocal range and she rides the beat nicely. She may be onto something, if the other material on the album is as good as this.

Hit or Miss?

I think it will be just another song with Timbaland. I tired of these singers who is workin wit Timbaland just for their albums be successful.

I love her on this song. It’s a great slow jam. Hopefully the album will be more uptempo, but every album needs a jam like this.

i really WISHED Keri kept this song for herself. Then I heard Melissa Jimmenez’s version of it, and she did a good job, but I STILL wish Keri kept this song for herself. Now Jen has destroyed it for me. This is the second time she took a song that I like the original artist singing better, i.e Ryde or Die was I’d Die for you from Brandy. Brandy sounded much better singing it. Ah well I guess.

I am s pissed bout’ this! Dont’ get it twisted I love J-Lo but she can’t sing worth and damn and this song is waaay to pretty for her to be screwing it up! Keri Hilson messed up BIG TIME with this one she should have kept it, released it as her own and everyone would have loved it! This just doesn’t make any kind of sense!
