After such a whirlwind of success within the last year, I would imagine she would be welcoming hiatus right about now.<br/><br/>But, I guess not...& she loves what she does. Judging from the bulk of responses here...there are ALOT of unhappy people in this world. As much as many of you may draw up weak comparisons or fledging comments...the numbers NEVER lie. "B'Day" was one of the top selling albums of 06-07. Its first week's sales alone were enough to knock Christina Aguilera out of her top selling first-week-sale female position.<br/><br/>When "B'Day" was re-released...he album jumped from #69 to #6. You ain't gotta like her...but you gotta respect the numbers. I will say that "B'Day" is way more commercial than her first album & it took a while for it to grow on me. Re-releasing the album was a very smart move.<br/><br/>I would like to see her take a break for maybe a year or so...you know...rest from all that she does. But...I guest she doesn't need it right now. <br/><br/>....& for all of you ranting about her making a new album....chill. If you knew anything, you'd look at the numbers and realize that cd was one of the most successful cds of 06. No B-Day probably wasn't as successful as DIL but can you tell me what artists has had a sophmore cd as big as the second? It was critically acclaimed people! I liked it, bought it and the rerelease, will buy it again if she be a smart ass and rerelease it one more time. Instead of hating on the woman and calling her a clown (I'm pretty sure she looks better than you do) be proud of the fact we got ourselves a successful black woman representing and not acting a fool like Paris.
