Keyshia Cole – ‘Just Like You’: Your Review
It’s kinda been a busy couple of weeks for me recently, but I’ve tried to keep things afloat as much as possible. With that said, I’ve not actually managed to get a listen to Keyshia Cole’s new CD ‘Just Like You’ – which ’surfaced’ (lol) last week. For those who have heard the album, let me know what you think of it in the comments section.Filed Under: Ashanti

Its a good album, I like the fact that she has more uptempo tracks. The album on the other hand is exactly what you expect from Keyshia, with her not really her safety zone, which works for a lot of people.

This album is really good. I’ve been listening to it over, and over…just like I did with her first cd when it dropped. At first, I didnt think it was quite as good as her first album…but after listening a few times, I think it’s definately as good as her first.

The album is a good solid R&B effort, the best of the year so far regarding R&B female soloists. The album isn’t so Mary J. as i thought after hearing “Let It Go,” so that was a plus, and Keyshia definitely defied the sophmore slump motif.

A few months ago i saw an album tracklist which looked AMAZING with artists like amy winehouse and dr dre…
So when i listened to the album i was looking for all these songs and artists which wernt there.
I think because i was expecting so much its just seems shit. Nowhere near as good as the first album NOWHERE!

Wow..I didnt care what anybody said, i knew she couldnt outdo “The Way it Is” but I was wrong…Ive been plying this album since i downlaoded it. Im gonna buy the walmart CD/DVD edition too. I Love “Work it Out” and “Same Thing (interlude)” just to name two. Its only 2 skippable tracks but as of right now, my fav album of the YEAR!

I had to say that I am loving the productions and the beats on this. More slow stuff. More real music in the background compared to just a keyboard and synthesizer. It is really hott.

I think Keyshia needs to sing more about love. There are too many songs about heartbreak & you did me wrong vibe. It’s similar to Mary’s early albums. But, the production is ok.

Come on guys, let’s be real. The cd is boring. I just about wrecked my car from drowsiness while listening to it this afternoon. Very boring. I’m a huge Keyshia Cole fan and I’ve been like a kid waiting for Christmas for the past two weeks only to get a lump of coal in my freaking stocking! I don’t blame KC though. I blame poor production. Maybe the tracks will be remixed and released because as it is, Jill Scott is going to blow KC off the map because that cd is banging!
