New Song: Ne-Yo – Closer
R&B star Ne-Yo is currently working on his third studio album. This new track ‘Closer’, which surfaced today, is said to be first single from the LP.Upon listening to this, I was a little surprised. On the uptempo track, Ne-Yo fuses Euro-Dance/Pop with R&B, serving up a pretty solid song in the process. Considering the creative and sales slump he saw with his last album ‘Because of You’, I’m hoping this ‘different’ sound here is indicative of a new direction he’s venturing into musically.

This is a good look! I didn’t care for his last album except the first single. Let’s see if he comes as hard as the songs he’s been writing for Mary and Janet.

I think some of his fans will be disappointed..and personally this is too dance/pop for me. I feel like the video should be him with a cutoff shirt, baby oil on his chest and some dancing with lights a la J-Lo’s Waiting For Tonight video. :-\

hott. i don’t like ne-yo, but this track is solid. [= hope this track won’t be another ‘because of you’ while the rest of the album sucks. im hoping for a better album, than his second.

not to sure about this i liked some of the r=tracks of his last album especially the duet with the dream girl cant remember her name at the mo but whats with the r&b artists going all dance on us all of a sudden

yeah umm….all i can think of when i hear this mess is Pride weekend! Neyo go back to the drawing board…Do you hear what DAy 26 is comin out with…I know you’re going for the whole KID club beat, cuz that’s whats hott right now. but if you’re gonna do it you gotta do it right, those tracks of urs that sound like you made them in your house aren’t gonna cut it anymore if you’re trying to be more than just well….ray J.

Ne-Yo has done it again! Its definitely a hit. I just can’t stop dancing to this song.I Ne-Yo’s biggest fan (2nd only to his mother)so I love all his music.

THIS IS THE SH*T!!! Ne-Yo Love the new song. The production is flawless and the tone of the song is so infectious, had it on repeat for an hour. Can not waite to hear some more.
