Madonna Holds Special Concert For Fans
Pop superstar Madonna held an intimate concert for 2,200 of her fans in New York’s Roseland Ballroom yesterday night. During her 30 minute set, the 49 year old performed material from her new LP ‘Hard Candy’ (which is set to debut at #1 with predicted sales of 300,000) as well as songs from her back-catalogue. I have to give it to Madonna for an artist who has been around nearly 3 decades she can still get the crowd going. As for her singing over these hard beats to say the least terrible Lastly 300,000 first week that’s good considering today’s music climate but I expected more considering Madge’s fan base. Could it be the younger generation is not buying into the hip hop Madonna?

I LOVE this album – in my opinion, it’s the best purchase I’ve made this year (closely followed by Estelle). Sure, the performance was “pitchy” – and I hate that word – but who goes to a concert to hear perfection? If the tickets cost anywhere near the ones for the Drowned World tour, I’ll need to start the paperwork for a home equity loan because I’ll definitely be there!

Madonna is def not the best singer… but she does work a crowd well and most of her songs r pretty good! Though Justin made her sound not sooo good, cuz he sounds great live in my opinion!
