“My mother made a decision not to come to my wedding because she didn’t really agree with my decision,” he explains, declining to specify whether she disagreed with his choice of wife or his decision to fire her. ”I don’t know why,” he offers simply. ”She’s never told me and I’ve never asked her….It hurt me very much not to see her there ’cause I would’ve liked for her to be there, not to mention that I paid so much money for her to be accommodated and her behind didn’t show up. The rift between Usher and his mother had escaped my mind in the midst of all his current success. It’s good to see him finally addressing the matter, all the same though. It seems all differences have been put aside, which can only be seen as a good thing.

I appreciate Usher for speaking out about his family and how he felt. Usher is not a machine cranking out music that express his feelings and he showed his dynamic human side. It is unfortunate that his critics and others that are speaking against his actions does not have the depth or insight to understand or hear him.
It takes a strong man, such as Usher, to make the decisions and take the actions that has caused the simply minds to rave. It is too easy to shut and let the critics make glory with untruths that impact many relationships. Thank you Usher for being a messenger and with your talent and strong mind, you are not one that everyone can kill.
In viewing the comment by anonymous the lead to this discussion board, it is evident that this person and other missed the point. Usher had an arena that was not going to be interrupted by a spokes person to stop and twist what he had to say and he rightly expressed himself. Go Usher for being a seasonal professional that recognized an opportunity and seized the moment.
The subject was his music and the questions were addressing the meaning behind his music, which lead to him saying he loves his wife! Get this “He loves his wife”. God sanctions marriages, not man; therefore, man needs to shut up and let Usher and the wife that he loves, stand before God.
If it is his music and talent that has your attention then buy and enjoy; otherwise, take it from Usher’s actions and words, he is tired of the negative gossip about his wife and family. In simply translation, Usher is happy to entertain you with music and other talents, but when it comes to him and his family (“The wife that his loves”), all of you critics can go to ….!
