Rihanna & Maroon 5 Perform ‘If I Never See Your Face Again’ On FN’MTV

Rihanna and Maroon 5 performed their new single ‘If I Never See Your Face Again’ on MTV’s new show FN’MTV this week. Check out their performance below:

Though I’m no fan of Rihanna (I’m not a supporter of mediocrity), I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t an impressive performance. For the first time in…well…ever, Rihanna gave a an energized performance and turned in a pretty decent vocal showing too. Good stuff.

What do you think of the performance?

I think she did a very good job–the song is well within her midtone range, the pace is pretty slow, and she didn’t have to dance that much (I feel sorry for performers who have to dance and sing at the same time; how they manage their air is a wonder to me). But say–I didn’t know The Fonz would be singing lead vocals with her!

Those too look SOOOO Hot together. Oh my God. The chemistry was sizzling. Did you dee him gently steal a kiss on her neck? The performance was awesome.

This ‘mediocre’ superstar has now sold 5,000,000 copies of her CD Good Girl Gone Bad. How did she hoodwink so many people? Any ideas Sam?

I’m not a huge fan of Rhianna, but her songs are everywhere and they kind of get stuck in your head. I love Maroon 5 and I think the song is hot and the performance was awesome.

This was actually a pretty decent performance…though i disagree with the comments that she got the crowd hype…i do however, think that her vocals for the first time ever were near flawless. Also to the person saying how could Rihanna have hoodwinked so many ppl…there’s to things i have to say to that 1) Britney Spears has sold more albums than that on a bad day. She out sells Beyonce in record sells…but is she more talented..no! Record sells do not prove talent. Second of all…President Bush has hoodwinked way more ppl into voting for him in 2004…so it’s possible.

That was banging. Anybody who doesn’t think so can’t hear. As for BET awards. Alicia Keys was not that good. Her and all those old as group were off key. Maybe a mic malfunction, but everyone is acting like they didn’t hear it. Rhianna had one of the better performances of the evening. She sounded great, looked great. It was simple and fit well in between the other circus acts!
