She said that they didn’t date in the traditional sense (i.e., going out to a restaurant to eat, etc.) because they wanted to keep their relationship private. She also did not want to listen to naysayers or the media dissect their relationship.

I don’t care about Nick. I didn’t even know who he was before the marriage. But that doesn’t matter. If Mariah feels good with him and, in fact, I don’t care who’s she with as long as she’s happy…
I guess it’s time for her to have children now… but that’s up to her… I don’t know if I want to have children myself too so…
