T-Boz Signs Solo Deal
It is being reported that former TLC star T-Boz has signed with SRC/Universal. The Grammy award winning star’s as yet untitled LP is set to feature production contributions from the likes of Polow Da Don, Dallas Austin and Raphael Saadiq. {Source}I’ll sure be paying close attention to how this one shapes up; I remember T-Boz’s first foray into the solo field with ‘Touch Myself’ all those years ago. I’m finding myself wondering though: Is anyone really still checking for T-Boz?

Lol @ comment 4:26….That’s what I was thinking. T-Boz sounded like Judge Maria Lopez at the BET awards. T-Boz is pretty, doesn’t age,has her own signature hair style, but I don’t know about her as a solo act. Her vocal range needs something to balance it out.

As long as her and Chilli let go of them old TLC anthems it should be cool….Chilli need to let that old “No Scrubs” type song go and her career would take off…t-boz not sure

Her hair is not unique, its annoying as hell and her style is so 1995…I mean stop wearing the same hair style u been wearing back in the 90’s and get something new…I mean I can’t stand seeing that hair like that all the damn time…I mean get a BOB cut or long hair or something…DAMN lol!

I’m so looking forward to T-Boz and Chilli’s new solo projects. After making a big impact with TLC, they have no choice but to be good on their own, AND if not commercially great, they will hit upon that ATL style in a way that still is relevant to someone like myself.
TLC was my first favorite group, and I have love for them from here on out.

First of all, people have to understand that most of the backgrounds and some leads were actually done by Debra Killings. None of these girls can sing. They had a revolutionary image that changed the industry and greats songs that people could hum too. Besides, if the recent uninspired performance on BET Awards with Alicia Keyes is any indication, T-Boz needs to try something else.

All i have to say on this topic is that ill be deep into my pray closet. Because what i heard her offer on the BET Award ( A MESS) she clearly will flop when it comes to voices. I understand having a rasp voice but not everyone can be sucessful by themselfs ( like Toni Braxton… she made it). But Tboz you cant do everything you see others do. Sometimes its just time for you to hand it up.. The mic that is.

I don’t know why yall talking shit about Tionne, SHE WAS THE 90’s and paved the way for these other non talented track slinging hoes, and I’m sure her material will justify any bad vocals/performaces in the past couple of years, and she does not wear the same hair style all the time, if anybody does its chilli.

You are right Debra Killings was a background vocalist for many of TLC’s song (in addition to T-Boz and Chilli, less a few songs). She was said to be the “silent” member of TLC. But being a big TLC fan back in the day, name one song Debra sung lead vocals on. Debra is a proffessional backing vocalist, she sung background for many acts (at that time) associated w/ LaFace or Dallas Austin (TLC’s main producer).
And the BET performance, so she had a bad performance, and what artist hasn’t (present day and past)that doesn’t X her out for continuing her career. T-Boz got what a lot of these so called singer/entertainers are missing now days, style compared to no other (I mean really when you hear her there’s no doubt who it is), swag, and she is straight real (no BS).
Check out the duet with Raphael Saadiq called “Different Times” from his first LP and the colabo they did on 3D, “So So Dumb.” I think those two are gonna come up with some good material. Their sounds and styles mesh well together. Get ‘em T!!

well i think tboz is a beautiful woman and she does need a new polished look and a bit of vocal lessons, times have changed and if she wants to sell albums she needs to get a new sexier look and a more polished sound.
