Usher Lines Up 3rd Single
R&B star Usher is lining up ‘His Mistakes’ as the third single to be lifted from his most recent album ‘Here I Stand’. The song will be serviced to radio on August 18th.Err is it me or does this seem like an ‘iffy’ choice? I mean Usher is in desperate need of a hit at the moment, considering ‘Moving Mountains’ has pretty much stalled on both sides of the Atlantic. IMO ‘Trading Places’ would have been the much better option. Perhaps putting out a better album, in general, would have helped matters?…Just a thought

single choice is terrible. “best thing” would have been the best selection if anything.
i’m still trying to figure out why he didn’t give “lifetime” the single treatment if he wanted a slow cut as the second single.

I think its a good single choice, but not just yet… Think usher needs to put out something that people can dance to.
I think the 3rd single should DEFINATELY be “What’s a man to do” everyone whos hears that song likes it instantly.
“His mistakes” shud also get the single treatment, but he shud drop that one for the Autumn/fall when it starts getting a bit colder.

Well that is just weird, why would he choose that song ??
His best pick would really be Best Thing (has that My boo vibe) or What’s a man to do(even though it’s not that original because it sounds like alll the irreplaceble songs)
I even think Whats your name would be a great single too, play that song in the club or in the car and you’ll really feel it

If I was him I would just put Love in this club part 2 out i mean u really cant go wrong with beyonce and lil wayne on a track

I think the single choice is great! ‘His Mistakes’ from day 1 was a winner in my eyes. It has the appeal to be successful on all fronts. The hook is catchy, the melodies are captivating, etc. I think this will be a major hit for him. But only time will tell.

Trading Places wouldve been a Great second single, and but now its needed as a third single…Usher went all wrong with this album..He shouldve stuck with his mother as his manager…he just damaged his name…It looks like Justin won the battle…The Best Thing featuring Jay shouldve got the single treatment..I still thought he shouldve shot a video for Love In the CLub Pt 2 with Beyonce and Weezy, like someone said you cant go wrong with those two…His Mistake is a good single, but thats to close off your album in my view..its two early for that type of single..

the album is herendous. I could have thrown together a better album using inspiration from my toilet paper and the squirrels outside of my door! I removed the entire thing from my iPhone instead for one song! And that song AINT EVEN ON THE ALBUM! “Echo” is probably one of the best tracks he’s laid out ever and it didn’t even make the cut? Thats sad.

oyyy, some of you catty & vicious anonymous bloggers need to calm the eff down and stop being such nasty cunts! Leave Sam alone and stop the nasty name calling! if you don't like what's said, leave some effective feedback on your views.. Besides, Sam is right! Maybe Usher should just drop a BETTER ALBUM! He should drop this project faster than he dropped his mom off of it and include her in the next one! A couple of points:
1) the album is fire! Its so hot it makes me wanna go blow up my bathroom!
2) He made his bed so now he can lie in it and smother himself with his cockiness while mom says "I TOLD U SO"!

Am I the only one who thinks "Before I Met You" is the jam? I can listen to that song all day! Let's keep it real Usher does not have another worldwide smash hit on this album. Hell, he'll be lucky if he can get a moderate R&B hit with this album. Now I feel like listening to Confessions so I can reminisce about better days…

After he ignored the success of Love in this Club part 2….I stopped concentrating on Usher!!!Wit a disappointing album I wud think he wud try his best 2 make it sell and he clearly isnt….u cannot go wrong wit Bey and Lil Wayne on the track!I dont know but I think thats Beys fault!

his singles should be
3. what’s a man to do (for the fall)
4. his mistakes (for the winter/christmas time)
5. will work for love (to close the album) he should remix this with michelle williams i can see her on it
he should rerelease the album with new songs and ballads with beyonce, michelle williams, brandy, keyshia cole, monica, kelly rowland, chris brown, justin timberlake, t.i., or mariah carey

Well, I think “This Ain’t Sex” would be great for the next single. It’s has a up tempo beat, and he really does need a hit right now. He needs to re release this cd, like he did for Confessions. Remixes or something.
