Pussycat Dolls Perform At MTV Asia Awards

The Pussycat Dolls took to the stage at the MTV Asia Awards last night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Nicole and co performed ‘Buttons’ and current smash ‘When I Grow Up’. See the performances below:

Good performance. I’m still no fan of their one singer/ 100 dancer format, yet there’s no denying they did their thing.

Randomness: Wasn’t it this time last year Nicole was inflicting her appalling, ill-fated solo material on us all? I guess this goes to show, PCD is where she belongs (which isn’t a bad thing).

What do you think of the performance?

I don’t think this proves that PCD is where she belongs at all, her solo material just wasn’t good enough, simple as that…if she was given the right songs, she could be as successful as any of the other female stars out there now.

I cannot wait for PCD’s 2nd album. The Darkchild-produced, “When I Grow Up” is HOT!

Hope that they have another cut by him on the CD when it drops next month!

Ummm…I love Melody but can they give her some voice lessons before they have her do those long adlibs? She has a good voice she just doesn’t control it well. I agree, Nicole’s material just wasn’t up to par. Give her some good songs and a good dance routine and she’ll be good. I am convinced that if Rihanna can thrive in this business anyone w/ mediocrity anyone can!

Was I the only person who liked Nicole’s solo material? I thought “Baby Love” was awful, but enjoyed the rest that surfaced.

    And great performance!

They performed a medley of buttons and When ig row up, did a good job but they toned down their dance and removed some of their s*** moves(including the leg lifts, intense popping, opening their legs, booty popping etc.) and they were all wearing pants due to the Malaysian culture. they dont want to get banned again.

For the record I liked both Nicole’s singles. Its so odd that she just downright flopped and got the Mya treatment. She really had the opportunity to be a big solo star what happened here? She for sure did not lack promotion that b**** was performing everywhere and anywhere that had a stage. Her and Kelly “Miss Diva Deluxe” should do a collabo. Poor Thangs.

I agree with the One Singer / 100 Dancers thing. I always wondered why the recent never sang. I forgot which one it was but i think it was the brown skin one with brown hair, she sang a tiny bit and i wondered why she never sang on songs… atleast the ones they released.

    I like the song though

they need to give melody some more parts cause she has a crazy voice..check her on youtube singing christina aguilera-hurt. i was amazed cause never really heard her sing with pcd but that proves she can

They need to give the other girls some vocal time, they are just Nicole backup singers. Nicole had some nice singles for her “album”, I think people just wasn’t feeling her. Or she tried to do the solo thing at the wrong time. Plus her promotion sucked!

She need to stay were she is getting the money, its not a sure thing she will be a good solo artist.

Atleast I can say Danity Kane make sure all the girls have a part, even if it is for 15 seconds.

Nicole is another “big ball of talent”, but no one knew how to market her. Whatever U Like came hard, but they just didn’t manage it right. She needs to try at it again though.
