Fantasia & Jennifer Hudson Honor Patti Labelle

Published: Thursday 18th Sep 2008 by Sam
R&B stars Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson took to the stage the Labelle & Charles: 30th Anniversary – ‘An Evening Of Stars’ this week, a show to honor Patti Labelle’s storied career. Check out a lengthy clip of Fantasia performing ‘Lady Marmalade’ and Jennifer performing ‘Over The Rainbow’ below:

Great performances from both ladies. On a random note, it really does go to show that genuine, raw talent can be found on shows such as American Idol.

Anyway, the full show airs in the US January 24 and 25, 2009 on BET and WGN.

What do you think of the performances?

Whaaaaaa!!!??? You can’t just tease us like that. Where’s the rest?!?

Sidenote: Fantasia looked a little funky in that dress. Too much thigh action going on. Either way, I know both ladies blew the roof of the mothasucka’.

You forgot share the reviews from the LA Times about the show.
The reviews said Fanny slayed it and when she sang “Someody Loves You”, Patti and others cried.Fantasia got two standing ovsations.
I guess Jhud is yor fav so you did not want to print the review, because Ms.Powers told it like it was.

Tasia rocked it. I was there she rocked the house the truth, turned the Kodak Theatre out and it is true about Somebody Loves You and I wish you could see and hear all of Lady Marmalade and everyone the celebs all loved her look. Jennifers secound song was not on point “sorry” and this one she did kind of over do it. But she can sing. Fanny is a performer thats all ther is to it so versatile she went from funk to ballads. Great show please watch it and tape it!!!!
Oh in LA Times there was a awesome review and the radio dj’s were all singing her praises.
