Beyonce LP Pushed Back?

Published: Thursday 2nd Oct 2008 by Sam
Beyonce LP Pushed Back? According to the NY Daily News, Beyonce’s hotly anticipated still untitled album may be hitting stores a little later than expected:

The singer’s new album was due at her label Wednesday morning in order to make an announced Nov. 18 release date, but insiders tell us there have been problems.

“It’s not going to be completed,” said a source close to folks who’ve been working on the CD. “She’s got to get it out early in the fourth quarter, when there’s so much competition among artists.”

Part of the delay may be due to Beyoncé’s busy-than-ever acting schedule. The beauty spent months filming “Cadillac Records,” in which she plays Etta James, and she’s also working on the psychological thriller “Obsessed.”

Another time-consumer was a duet with Justin Timberlake – the source says the two didn’t like the way it was turning out and kept doing it over until they got it right.

Plus, claims our insider, “She clashes with Max Gousse, her father’s guy who’s involved.”

Beyoncé’s dad, Matthew Knowles, asked us, rhetorically, “How would he not be involved? He’s the vice president of my company, and she’s recording with my company.”

And Gousse is the man who convinced her to record Ne-Yo’s “Irreplaceable” – which became her biggest hit to date.

Still, the source counters, “Jay-Z encouraged Beyoncé to bring in Jay Brown and Ty Ty [Tyran Smith]” – both of whom have worked with red-hot singer Rihanna.

Beyoncé will release two singles, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies,” this Tuesday.

The chief of Sony BMG Music, Rob Stringer, got on the phone last week to tell us, “She has an enormous number of very talented people doing whatever they can to make it the best record possible.

“Normally I would lie low, but we think the first two singles will be utterly huge. They’re two of the best songs of her career. Beyoncé is incredibly hardworking, and [the album] is 97%-98% done. It’ll be out before Nov. 20. Frankly, we think the whole record is going to be huge.”

I’m gonna need Bouncy’s album to drop ASAP – which at this junction, is the November 18th that was previously announced. Stans, haters and all those in-between know the drill by know; a Beyonce release is an event. Roll on November…scratch that…roll on next week – the debut of Beyonce’s new singles ‘If I Were A Boy’ and ‘Single Ladies’.

is it just me or does anyone else need a break from beyonce? she doesnt go away. and 2 singles. is that necessary? i admit she is talented but she just never goes away and gives anyone a chance to miss her. again, she has talent and is one of the leaders in the game but does she need to shove it down my throat with a new album every year?

  2. jonnyhco October 2, 2008

i love beyonce. and to the dumb ass above me beyonce has been out of the spotlight for 2 years. wtf are you talking about. we need a break from rihanna and all of these other trashy no talented girls

  3. Anonymous October 2, 2008

why does this site really annoy me all of sudden i can’t quite put my finger on it maybe because u keep calling beyonce bouncy and u are a closet rihanna stan u keep hatin on her but cnt stop posting abt her? how does that work??
i’m about ready to jump ship peace

I'll say it once & i'll say it again…B-ROCKA(BRANDY) QUEEN B ( BEYONCE) & MS HILSON IS GONNA RUN 08 ( KERI MIGHT RUN 09 THE WAY THEY KEEP PUSHIN HER S*** BACK) BUT NONE THE LESS I HAVE SPOKEN…HATERS CONTINUE TO HATE

  5. Anonymous October 2, 2008

well first off i am the one that posted first and A. im not a dumb ass and B. no she has not been out of the spotlight bein on JayZ’s american gangster album, Usher’s Love in the club remix, re releasing Bday (worst album ever) in 2007 and being in every damn commercial for american express, loreal, etc…. the b**** doesnt just go away. and yeah i like her more than rihanna and all those other no talent hos, but beyonce is annoying. plus shes a b**** releasing those singles on michelle’s album release day. i thought that was her “sister”

First of all, I love Beyonce very much and I can’t wait for the album but, howcome she’s releasing her two singles on Michelle’s Unexpected Debut? I will be buying Unexpected from FYE on Tuesday and I am also waiting for a Beyonce and Kelly Rowland album. Queen B will reign again this year and 2009 along side Michelle! I think that Bey should come out now and shut Ciara and Rihanna DOWN! And when Destiny’s Child comes back they can shut Pussycat Dolls and Danity Kane DOWN!

This is what i dont get….she keeps saying “NOVEMBER THIS AND NOVEMBER THAT”…ITS october and she doesnt even have a title 4 the project…wtf is that? that doesnt even make sense…It seems soooo rushed..more than Bday was…we shall see

  8. Joe October 2, 2008

    B’Day wasn’t rushed

  9. Anonymous October 2, 2008

she did it in 3 weeks and it sucked. ring the alarm was the worst song ive ever heard. worse than those ll cool j and j lo songs. the only good song was irreplaceable and she didnt even write that though she claims she did.

  10. Anonymous October 2, 2008

^^^- B’Day was rushed. Beyonce said she done the album in two weeks.

  11. Anonymous October 2, 2008

^^^^^B’Day was rush she said she did it in like two-three weeks whatever that why it didn’t do well i think bee is gonna be like j.lo

she didn’t take a break she perform at the grammys with tina turner for what reason

she thought b-day was gonna be her diva album aka whitney houston the bodyguard soundtrack but it wasn’t

I like beyonce but like diana ross they have it in there head that they can be the only black top star

Bee i can tell likes going against other artist like janet in her prime said she like to do and it’s okay

I don’t know about ya but i love having rihanna, ciara, amerie, astanti, others because if we don’t what fun would it be only having beyonce since she is so boring

The 90’s,80’s,70’s had more then one top female star but now beyonce tsnas think that she can be the only one on top

But watch her fall down she is 27 gosh and had done nothing mermoable the only song that she has to her name is crazy in love

And i think beyonce knows this that why i think she is always rivaliing sharika cause she is consider a legend whatever in her own right, j.lo who is non-talent but will be remember for her glamor

Too me beyonce made a big mistake dating jayz
if she wanted to be a big star so bad she wouldn’t look his way the media don’t care for rappers no matter how much cash he makes he is still this drugdealer from brooklyn that made it big

  12. Anonymous October 2, 2008

@ 8:23 I totally agree with you. I’m not a fan but I do agree she has talent, but damn.. I wish she would take a couple years off and then come back with something big..

  13. Anonymous October 2, 2008

I think the article only confirmed that her album is coming out in time. If the album is 98% done then they are just mastering a few remaining tracks.

  14. Mims October 2, 2008

oh goodness. so what if she hasn’t been away? so what if she wants to keep doing what she likes and satisfying her fans? the fact that she HASN’T been away just goes to show how committed she is to her work, there’s a reason why she has millions of fans who LOVE her work. and why do you say it’s rushed? just because b’day was? she’s been working on this album since before she even ended her true which was way last year.

so beat it if you hate it. go find your own singer to like.

  15. Mims October 2, 2008

    tour*

  16. Anonymous October 2, 2008

Why should she take a break? Its her JOB! I think its very smart of her to keep moving forward. Lets be real Beyonce is 27, there are not many relevant singers over thirty (besides Mary). Whats wrong with her trying to cement her status and put out good music before the window of opportunity closes? I hope the two new songs are as good as dude says they are because I agree Beyonce has not made many “classic” songs beside “Irreplaceable” and “Crazy In Love”.

  17. Anonymous October 2, 2008

whatever, take a break? let others shine?…you can’t be serious….yall on crack…how bout you take a break from your job…let others shine…and get ahead of you…and see what happens…this is a buisness…a buisness and to stay in the lead, you need to run faster and farther, no matter how many miles you are ahead of the others…grow up. Beyonce’ is dope and the haters know it, thas why yall mad…ain’t nobody saying this stuff bout Ashanti…why? right you know why…B’day was done in three weeks and was and is dope…get me bodied had yall on the dance floor crazy…so kill it….

I LIKE BEYONCE BUT I DO BELIEVE SHE IS BECOMING OVERATED BIG TIME, WHEN THE HARDCORE FANS AER BEGGING FOR HER RETURN,

IRREPLACEABLE WITH A DOUBT IS HER BEST SOLO SONG EVER, CRAZY IN LOVE, WASN’T ALL THAT, IT’S JUST A POP ANTHEM AND AS FOR BDAY, IT WAS GREAT. BEYONCE WAS AT HER BEST WITH DC, BELIEVE IT ALL NOT, SHE HAS ONLY TWO MAJOR BIG SOLO SONGS AND WHEN SHE’S IN CONCERT SHE SINGS A LOT OF DC SONGS

I THINK PEOPLE ARE MORE INTERESTED IN BRITNEY’S RETURN

  19. Anonymous October 2, 2008

BDAY IT WASN’T GREAT, I MEAN LOL

  20. delroy October 2, 2008

they way that i see it is that yes she has been in the public eye none stop so what. I like her stuff so does millions of people over the world, plus abv mentioned that she has two classic singles, well thats a good achievement in my books. Not a lot of acts have more than 1 plus thats 2 this decade yeah.

  21. Anonymous October 2, 2008

    yea hopefully ‘if i were a boy’ becomes a classic..but it doesn’t sound like it :S !!!

was jus thinking…rihanna has bare classics!! SOS, unfaithful, UMBRELLA, TAKE A BOW,DONT STOP THE MUSIC, DISTURBIA!! dumb rihanna..her and her annoyingly addictive music!!

does rihanna have more global no 1’s than beyonce?

  22. Anonymous October 2, 2008

Most of you forget that Beyonce was Destiny’s Child, so whatever hits (Independent Woman, Bootylicious, Say My Name, Bills Bills Bills, No No No, Survivor etc. etc.) they had are automatically hers. Ya’ll know that you are kidding yourselves when you say that no one is checking for the 4th Most Powerful Celeb in the world (I didn’t say it Forbes did). Although I do hope that she steps her game (lyrically) up. [I would love to hear another Dangerously In Love, something moving and profound] Anyway roll on release date (LOL).

  23. Anonymous October 2, 2008

rihanna has a lot of good songs but i wouldnt call them classics and disturbia is the worst peice of crap i’ve ever heard.

  24. Anonymous October 2, 2008

haters back the f*** up the queen is back to reclaim her throne that rihanna temporarily borrowed!!! welcome back queen b!!! 🙂

  25. Anonymous October 2, 2008

Why can’t people like Beyonce and Rhianna? People make me sick when they try to pump their favorite artist up but they put down another artist. And, i wish people stop bringing up how much money Beyonce made. Yall act like she giving yall some of that money. And, it’s not about what you make but about what you keep. Yall act like all money is good money. Trust me, she stepped on a lot of people to get where she is.

  26. Larry October 2, 2008

I love Beyonce, she’s on a little list of a few talented singers. It’s crazy how people say she needs to sit down when her last project came out 2 years ago. Plus how B’Day didn’t do well when it sold 3.5 million in US and 6.2 million worldwide. Check your facts people!!! She’s the queen and people need to realize that she’s not going anywhere and you same people crying about her needing to sit down are the same ones that will be buying the album on the first day!

  27. knox October 2, 2008

My heart is bating fast cant wait…..Bey is back, the break is ova!

im in love with that song big time for sure a #1
but lets not start with “if i were a boy” cause that s*** is crap but maybe it will be a hit
haha you bitchz have to wait 😛

  29. Nick October 2, 2008

I CNT HAV HER PUSHIN NUTHIN BAK, I NEED BEYONCE NOW !!!!! & whats this mess about we need a break frm her?? HELLO shes been goooone 4 like EVER !!!!!!!!!!! I NEED BEYONCE YSTRDAY!!!

  30. Anonymous October 2, 2008

Beyonce stans, calm down and get a life LOL The world will not end if she doesn’t release it in November. It’s still gonna come out anyway.

  31. Antertain October 3, 2008

I don’t really count B’day as a Beyonce album is was more a Deena/Sasha album with all that screaming. But i liked the fact it was edgy and different from other albums.

Think shes got fire lined up this time, and for someone like her who writes alot its hard to stay out the game over 2years.

Michelle ain’t gonna get the Number 1 album and Kelly Struggles to reach the summit so B might as well just do her thang. The only other DC member that got there is LeToya and she did it because she grinded and hustled herself and her label was shocked and unaware of the popularity she actually which meant sum budget second video…

I Look 4ward to what Beyonce (not Deena or Sasha) has in store.

  32. Anonymous October 3, 2008

    very true bout how B’Day was a sasha/deena album..but still v gd!!

who said something bout a radio station getting the 2 new sonngs?? have u actually heard them??
