Michelle Williams’ long-awaited ‘Unexpected’ LP finally hit stores across the globe this week. The Music World/Columbia set sees Williams, whose previous solo efforts were rooted in the Gospel genre, embrace a more Pop/Dance orientated sound.I must say, after listening through the album recently, Michelle really does deliver the goods – definitely worth a purchase IMO. Standout cuts for me include ‘Thank You’, ‘The Greatest’ and ‘Hello Heartbreak’.

Great album, pity they aren’t even stocking it in most shops in the UK, had to get mine online :/ Poor girl, they’re not even giving her a chance. Anyway, my favourites tracks are Lucky Girl, The Greatest and We Break The Dawn.

I got the album last week – although it didn't really help it's UK chart position – and I have to say the ppl who aren't going to buy the album are really missing out on something. Being honest, this album is the most solid album of all the DC girls and it would shock anyone who listens to it. It has a mixture of gr8 R&B ballads and clubby pop/dance tunes. Highlights for me are 'Lucky Girl', 'The Greatest', 'Hungover' and 'Too Young For Love'.
I don't understand why people aren't giving her a chance just because she's not got a profile like Beyoncé or Kelly. If a commercial failure, at least it'll be a critical success and a hidden gem. But she does deserve the success for serving up something original.

The album is much better than I thought it would be. I ended up buying 2 copies. Good Stuff. I love all of the songs except for maybe 2. So, out of 13 tracks… Its a definate buy!!!!!!! Go get it and support our girl!!!!!!!
