What hurt usher the most was getting married and it damaged his fan base with female fans..for those who don’t know Usher hasn’t even sold the club out in ATL for hsi “ladies only” tour..it is a club for about 500 people tops..and he can’t see it out..the album wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great add to the fact he got married and it is everywhere. He really lost his fanbase with the behavior..and if he wants to save his career he will need another hit like and “yeah” and go single again which would be hard to do with the kids he now has.

I think people of "this" fast generation are just that... fast. You're quick to follow trends. Ne-Yo, Chris Brown are what's HOT now and 10 years later, who knows where they will be. None of them have really laid a foundation for a career. They've had quick success with singles and have built up a type of "singles" following. Thus, they are only as good as the next SINGLE that they release.. the same way Rihanna is. If they were to have an oops, wuh-uh moment like Usher supposedly has had with Here I Stand, I doubt that their album in the midst of negative feedback & bad reviews would still go platinum. For the simple fact that Usher has a legacy which Ne-Yo & Chris Brown are still trying to achieve. I don't get why people are ready to write folks off based on ONE album they may not like.

Just the same as Mariah Carey had the Glitter album that no one liked, she came back with a banger. Usher has fans of his whole discographies, Chris Brown & Ne-Yo have more fans of single albums.

Anyway.... I agree with someone above who said if he does the whole "worldwide" thing it's somewhat jumping on a trend. I hope that by "worldwide" he means he is just working with different producers to create something NEW and not this euro-pop crap we have to have shoved down our throats.

Wellwhen he says he is releasing a worldwide album he means he is about to follow the trend and go for that inernational pop bullshit. So all this talk about Usher being real RnB-which is bullshit, should cease.

Neyo or Chris Brown will not have Usher’s spot until they can sell a millon records in a week. Dont say it cann’t be done anymore cause lil’ wayne just did it. Neither have even come close. Am sure with the right record management and less about his wife Usher will come back in a big way.

Usher was good like some years ago like 2004 and before that, but we are in 2008 now, Here I stand made me lose interest in by a mile and I am not the only one, me and most people I know like and rate Chris Brown and Ne-Yo as the top R’n'B males, sorry but Usher lost his crown, he should never took 4 yrs off, even my sis said “Usher Who, his old, it’s all about Ne-Yo and Chris Brown now” and we all loved his music, so what happen?? for us to dislike him now, his latest music that’s what it’s RUBBISH

Who knows maybe his next album will be good, but the man needs to seriously step up his game

I don’t think “Here I Stand” was as bad as some people claim it to be. I’m just over Usher. It doesn’t matter what he releases, I no longer care anymore. I have never liked Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Keyshia Cole, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Jon B, John Legend, Kanye West, Monica, Ciara, Brandy, among many others. I have a very small music collection. But I will rock the hell out of a Robin Thicke, Jill Scott, Heather Hedley, Ledesi CD. Go figure.

Bobblehead idiots like Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo fans wouldn’t know real music if it slapped them in their big ass heads. Here I Stand is definitely a solid album. But we all know real music doesn’t sell these days. Only bullshit like Closer and Lollipop sells.

And don’t make me laugh about CB and Ne-Yo taking Usher’s spot. Let me make this perfectly clear to all of you mindless, follow-the-trend teenyboppers…Usher could flop miserably (and by miserably I mean his album could pull a Michelle Williams’ album) and even then those wannabes CB and especially Ne-Yo’s swagger jacking, love-to-hang-off-of-Usher’s-dick ass would NEVER see Usher’s level more less be on it.
