It appears as though Beyonce will be serving up 2 new singles at a go with her ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ LP. The follow-up to current hits ‘If I Were A Boy’ and ‘Single Ladies’ have been confirmed as ‘Halo’ and ‘Diva’, the latter of which replaces ‘Ego’ as one of the next singles. Videos for both releases will be shot next week.Considering I see ‘Halo’ as being one of the best tracks Beyonce has recorded in long while, I’m definitely pleased it’s receiving the single treatment. As for ‘Diva’, I’m sure the video will be r-e-a-l interesting LOL.

i love halo.it will be a number for sure.halo is my second favorite song on the album.and ego is my favorite on the second cd. i hope that smash into you is a single.this album is amazing.and propably one of the best albums of the year.

It was obvious that “Halo,” was going to become the next single. It was the 2nd best song from the ‘I Am…’ side of the disc anyways.
As for “Diva,” over “Ego,” I personally like “Ego,” better, but they are thinking in terms of separating the sounds most. And “Ego,” is far more similar to a slow song (which is what the ‘I Am…’ side is filled with) and ‘Diva,’ could by some be called a Hip Hop song.
I do think though if “Diva,” does well on the charts (Especially the Hot 100), something is def. wrong about how the Music Industry works. It’s a decent song, but not worth a high charting status. And it is most def a total “A Milli,” rip off-coulda had so much more originality.

They have been playing Diva in Wisconsin as much as they have been playing Single Ladies . . . the hook is catchy and it will get radio play. If for no other reason than it being Beyonce . . . I personally like Ego better or Video Phone . . . but I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for the video. I hopes she goes for something alot less raunchier than the Single Ladies attire. At any rate, I listened to the songs a few weeks ago, and then again when I got the cd on Tuesday and I think lyrically she has grown. Some of the beats make the songs sound alot alike . . . but she did evolve more emotion and intimacy into these songs. While I like If I Were A Boy, I like BC Jeans version alot more. I was definitely glad to see that htere were no collaborations. You can tell she is growing as a person . . . I just would like to see her outer appearance change as well. Can’t wait for the tour because you know there will be one in 2009, they girl does put on one of the best concerts going these days . . . then of course by 2010 she will be knocked up . . . do laugh or think I’m crazy . . . listen to her talk. She said years ago, she would’t get married before 25 but that she wanted to be married with a family by 30, so she has 3 years to go on tour, which usually last for about 9 months, then get pregnant and have that baby by 30.
YAY! I am so glad Halo is the next single. I think it’s the best song on the entire album. Very nice. I think it will do great. As for Diva, I think thats a good choice as well. It’s a fun dancy club song and it just Beyonce, what more can you say, lol. Good picks.

DIVA is definitely a good choice , that song goes HARD and I know most people are feeling that. Halo should do good as well, but I dont see why she’s doing the whole double single thing…she doesnt really need to unless she’s planning on recording another album soon.
I love Halo it will be HUGE!(hopes and wishes “Smash Into You” will be released as a single as a remix of the original with John McLAughin and Beyonce’s version….look it up on youtube it is AMAZING).
Now as for “Diva” I am sorry that song is the pits right next to video phone. But since it is Beyonce and peoople like stupid,pointless, catchy songs it will probably do well. Heck even Single Ladies was better than Diva and I didn’t even like that one much. I REALLY like “Ego” so I was hoping for it to be a single.

Diva is a great look! I’m very happy she didn’t go with Ego because even though its a decent song I couldn’t really see it having the single treatment…and having Halo and Diva counter each other strengthens the alter ego theme she is going for. and the song BEATS!!!! and it always her to clown and act a fool in the video and not be taking seriously because its her alter ego Sasha singing the track! very smart marketing and promotional move!

My favorite song on the album is “Hello” but I know that would never be a single. Halo is an obvious hit but I wish she would have chosen “Radio” as opposed to Diva.

Halo is undoubtedly one of the best tracks on the album.
Diva might not necessarily be one of the best but it most certainly is catchy. And anyways, Diva won’t be released onto mainstream radio, only Halo.
On a side note, I think the use of the phrase ‘rip off’ is wrongly used. Beyonce is not ripping off A Millie but she is SAMPLING. the style of the song. Ever heard of artists sampling other artists’ tracks? If you haven’t then there’s something wrong with you.

YAY!! My two most favorite songs off the album are being released!! Even though this album is not her best…..Dangerously In Love still has my vote, it is a very solid effort!! Way to go Bee!! IMO Unexpected is a better album…..I’m a diehard Bee fan but I just think its wrong how much “promotion” Matt bragged about putting into this project and hardly did anything for Michelle!!! Still rooting for Bee though!
I can’t understand why people keep saying Unexpected is a better album. I would understand when those people didn’t say to be Beyonce fans at the same time. But when you’re a Beyonce fan, IMO Unexpected does nothing for you, cause it’s not even the kind of music or songs Beyonce ever did.

You can be a Beyonce fan and still like an album over hers. Being a Bey stan doesn’t mean you must like everything she puts out. I know plenty of albums that are better than hers but that doesn’t mean I like her any less. And yes IMO Unexpected is a better album. Whoever said that you can’t like more than one genre of music?
Absolutely love Halo, its a great track and is gonna do brilliantly on the charts. I would have preferred Radio but Diva is one of them songs that is gonna rip it up in the clubs. Definitely her best album to date.

I had a feeling Ego wasnt going to be released because its on the Deluxe Version, what is the purpose of releasing a regular and then deluxe version aside from money; think about someone going to buy her album because of the new singles and then turn and find out its only on the Deluxe Version people would be pissed the hell off. And I doubt Sony Music will keep pressing both for the long run since that would be more cost for them.
It would be the same type of situation Usher had with telling people about a rerelease before the album release, If beyonce was to release singles back and forth from the regular and deleuxe version consumers buying the regular version would be alienated as f**k since i bet all stores that carry music would sell both.
