With this week ushering in the release of Brandy’s new LP ‘Human’, Ms. Norwood is hot on the promo trail – today stopping by CW11’s Morning Show to perform the album’s first single ‘Right Here (Departed)’ as well as the awesome follow-up ‘Long Distance’, both of which you can view below:

She nailed it! I was becoming a lil’ weary of the ‘Right Here’ performances (still great though), so it was refreshing seeing her give such a stellar rendition of my current song of the moment ‘Long Distance’. Fantastic.
Randomness: Is anyone elses best part of ‘Long Distance’ the runs and adlibs at the end (”Can you hear me crying ohhhh”) LOL?

Ok she strains to much when singing to be considered a diva ro next legend. Sad to Say Rihanna and Ciara arent that far behind her. Monica held a longer and stronger note then Brandy just the other day. To many stronger vocalist out there killing it now. Beyonce Fantasia Xtina Taylor Swift Leona Mariah Mary Monica Jennifer Hudson and sometimes Keyshia and even Pink. Performances were ok.

Truth is…. you’re stupid! How the hell are you gonna strain on a song like Long Distance. Put simply its a soft song meant to be sung that way. Your not a singer obviously if you think, Fantasia, JHud, Beyonce, and Xtina dont strain. That’s all they do!!

i watched that long distance performance and she was NOT straining its her facial expressions that make it seem that way because in no way shape or form does she sound like shes straining. she did a BEAUTIFUL job on that song and now knowing who its really about is just the cutest thing ever
i dont care what you look like when you sing its what it comes out sounding like and it never once sounded “off”….somebodys obviously deaf and it aint me

Now that person above me even though he doesnt like Departed tey didnt bash her and lie like most people….But anyways…Long distance was extremely heartfelt babygirl sounds better then she ever has IMO…i bought the album today and its BANGIN!!
