X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke capped off an amazing 2008 for herself by performing at Elton John’s New Years Eve concert at London’s 02 Arena last night. The 20 year old performed her record breaking debut ‘Hallelujah’ – which, despite being released mid-December, still ended up being the top selling UK single of 2008.
About this performance, again, not perfect, but still a great great live vocal performance. It’s really not often that a UK talent of such a caliber gets the platform to showcase their pipes, speak less selling records by the bucket load while doing so. More power to her!

It was pretty good but I still don’t get why on earth you would compare this girl to Whitney Houston.
God! Why does she get such negativity! and people react to Leona Lewis like she’s the holy grail?

Leona Lewis is so overrated c’mon this girl have an amazing voice and deserve her success but is she the only one in England who deserve an international carreer ? Sorry but Alexandra is also an amazing vocalist it’s a shame that everybody always compare her vocal skills to Leona’s.
is anybody else tired of that frikin choir in the background and that awful snap routine they do in every performance????
