Barack and Michelle Obama shared their first dance as President and First Lady last night at the Neighborhood Ball in Washington, D.C. Beyonce was on hand, giving a rousing rendition of Etta James’ aptly titled ‘At Last’. Awesome moment.
It really does feel great to be living through history.

That was so amazing to See. The President and First Lady Dance and The Legend That Is Beyonce singing It was truly historic and it brought me to tears. We (blacks) have come a mighty long way. We were slaves treated like second class citizens But through it all The hand of God never left us! He stood right by our sides. Thank God For Jesus and I am finally Proud to Be an American!

It was a very tender moment. Beyonce did well, but she’s hardly a legend. She’s a pop star. Now, ARETHA singing ‘America the Beautiful’ during the inaugaration ceremony; That was a legendary soul singer taking part in a legendary moment in history. It will NEVER be forgotten.
