New Song: The Dream – ‘My Love (ft. Mariah Carey)’
As singer/songwriter The Dream preps his sophomore effort ‘Love & Money’ for a February 17th release, one of the album’s joint 1st singles, the Mariah Carey assisted ‘My Love’ surfaced within the hour. The easy on the ear mid-tempo is filled with enough hooks and all-round catchiness to have you humming/singing along before the song fades out.
Mariah’s feature works too; the rasp and hoarseness that is Mimi’s 2009 ‘voice’ (which is becoming increasingly obvious on record now) actually actually compliments The Dream’s vocal rather well. Her belting parts, for all the critique levelled against her current vocal state, shows exactly why she is still one the premier voices of our time. Great track.

Casual Mariah fan here. I like how the hardcore Mariah fans always say everything is fire when in reality it’s like everything else on the charts at the moment. This sounds like standard issue mixtape and radio material, guys. Mariah isn’t even in it that much, she’s a background singer.

I love it! Mariah sounds great.. even though it seemed like her belting part came too early lol.. yeah, you can really hear that deterioration/rasp now. They pretty much kept it out of E=MC^2

the dream is 1 UGLY ASS MAN!!- radio killa is gettin old but mariah was great. the dream sounds the exactly the same on every record he has absoulotely no range at all.

“Migrate,” was suppose to be the 4th single at a time… But then it was never made official and ended up turnign into “I Stay In Love,” which they should have known wouldn’t become a “We Belong Together 2008.” That was dumb on their part!

If you had that voice….everything you did was fire too…hate it or love it, Mariah’s longevity is for a reason. She writes her own music and even though she has her moments where her voice is raspy and whateva, the girl can still sing!

This song is very catchy indeed!!! I hope it does well when it comes out.
And the singles of "E=MC2" the way I would have put them out:
1. "Touch My Body" – Great, it did what it had to do.
2. "Migrate" – Could've been the 1st, and should've been the 2nd single!
3. "I Stay In Love" – Really, it is a great song but it was not in the right place…
Then come:
4. "Side Effects" &
5. "For The Record"…
I hope, like somebody else above me said, that there would be a re-release of the album and it would have some new hit tracks in it… We'll see…

BTW, the audio quality here is very poor (raspy and hoarse) so you should try to find and hear the song somewhere else so that you could get the full impression of it.
