The video for Teairra Mari’s brand new single ‘Hunt 4 U’ (ft. Pleasure P) premiered earlier today. For what it’s worth, I’m really liking the song and the fact that Teairra has moved into more commercial territory – as I feel she has mass appeal. That said, I’m not particularly feeling the video. Ms. Mari looked stunning throughout, however the clip as a whole just came off as kinda cheap IMO. The green screen editing didn’t really do the vid any favours and didn’t make any less obvious the fact that she is essentially doing nothing throughout the entire vid. As Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ vid showed, there are more imaginative/creative ways to use a tight budget!

I don’t know what ppl see in this girl,because she just don’t have IT. I don’t care how good of a voice you have if you don’t have IT factor, you’ll be just an average artist. she will be getting drop soon. looking at the video you can see that the label don’t have enough confidence in her its a cheap video

Sam,I really enjoy your site. You seem to be a rather nice human being,a stand-up guy,cool and easy to get along with. You also seem rational and level headed,which is why I’m surprised by your obsession with Beyonce. I thought you’d be above that. It’s one thing to acknowledge her talent, because she is talented,but you put her on a pedestal. Why was it necessary for you to compare Teairri Mari’s video to Beyonce’s video? It wasn’t. I know you desperately want an interview with her,but I really wish you would stop kissing her ego to get it. Do yourself and all of humanity a favor and pull yourself out of Beyonce’s anus please.

Um I think on this one I disagree wit u dat vid was hottt,I wont say its a high budget vid,but it aint dat bad dat u can mention…and I didnt think that Beyonce comment was necessary,bcoz dat vid was not low budget…just having one scene dnt mean its low budget.tha effects in dat vid wore not the easiest to capture not 2 mention the cost 2 get a Director like Jake Nava

oh and here we go again, another beyonce bum seshion, comparing her to other artists, get over it and stop with the brown nosing, its getting kinda old. everytime i see a new post about ciara, rihanna and even chris brown dancing to beyonce single ladies, its beyonces better, yes everyone can acknowledge that she can dance, even people who detest her know she is a great performer, but lowering other performers by mentioning her is below the belt, its becoming a beyonce blog and its gets a bit agrivating whenever i come on here, theres always a topic on her or her name mentioned on a totally different artists post!!

i thought it did what it needed to do, reintroduce her to the masses. and i also like their take on the whole hype williams look that was everywhere a few years ago. overall i thought it was a nice video and i love the song

ummm people lets stick the the topic lol….the video was cute,it served its purpose,she kind of over acted but she looked sooo pretty and the song is good. like that rehab vid by rihanna was boring as hell but i happen to love that song and ri-ri looked near flawless in that vid so it doesnt always have to be over the top ya know (now i made a comparison but at least mine was nice lol) yeah i’m feeling it

POINT BLANK Cheap video did nothing for me. Just one HUGE POWER POINT!
Shoot even Beyonce Basement shot videos (Single Ladies/Diva) are better videos then this and they are as cheap as cheap gets.

Honestly my biggest problem with Teairra is she doesn’t stand out to me. She blends in the background. Yes she can sing, but in this industry that’s not good enough. Many said that Def Jam should have kept her over Rihanna, but really they made the best “Business” decision. Rihanna was more marketable, and had a different sound from others. Ms. Mari the other hand came out sounding like Ashanti one minute than Beyonce another and looking similar to Nivea. There just wasn’t anything different about her. As of now with all the female artist we love seems to be falling off one by one (Mya, Kelly, Brandy, Mariah, Janet, Ashanti, ect.) here’s hoping Ms. Mari get in where she fit in.

Sad that just because you don’t look “different” or “unique” people try to make it like you don’t have the right to live your dream. rihanna didn’t look any different than anybody else when she came out with that big ass forehead. yes she may have a unique(which means annoying in her case), but def jam made her what she is today. she is nothing special

did the same guy that directed that terrible mya video direct this one too? They both have a cheap feel to them. I hated the song when i first heard it and now i only don’t like it. I like Teairra Mari though. her first cd was tight. hope this one is good but i know at least one of the tracks i don’t like.

WITH THIS VIDEO, IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE SONG TO ME. I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG BY TEAIRRA MARI AND IT SUCKS THAT THE LABEL SHE IS ON IS SO DAMN CHEAP THAT THEY WON’T EVEN GIVE HER ENOGUH MONEY FOR A DESENT VIDEO TO GO WITH A GOOD SONG. SMH.
