Superstar Beyonce took to the stage at last night’s 81st Annual Academy Awards to perform a rousing medley called ‘Musicals Are Back’ alongside Hugh Jackman, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried, and High School Music stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
The Baz Lurhmann produced performance was awesome (even though mimed – it’s understandable)! Beyonce really shone and it was great seeing her give renditions of songs we’ve yet to hear her put a spin on such as ‘Lady Mamalade’.

Because the difference is that beyonce sings live in about 90% of her performances and mimes the rest, whereas mariah carey does it the other way round!

Beyonce’s performance was CRAZY…i loved it…and eve if she lipsynced, who the hell cares? Over 90% of the time, she sings live, so this doesn’t matter, cuz i’m sure if she did, the people who organized the production instructed her to…anyway, she was great, she and hugh jackman make a great pair.
OK, Mariah does it only on the chorus cuz she sings over it! When the original song is recorded in two voices overlapping each other then there’s no way it could be sung by just one. The other has to be recorded and played back…

So what if she lipsynced it was stil her voice. just like it was still Whiteny’s voice at the superbowl, and J-Hud’s voice at the superbowl. Hell more singers should lipsynce that way we wont no how bad they realy sound i.e (ciara,keyshiacole,rihanna,ashanti,kerrihilson) and the list goes on.

It’s unfortunate that she doesn’t feel comfortable enough with her career or the industry she works in to give her public a visual break. Not a conclusion, but a break. It’s working and for those who love it, that’s great, but I get tire of people saying people are hating and jealousy of her. There are plenty of haters, but it’s more about over-exposure. She’s a marketer, not an artist who possess great singing ability and one of the most beautiful women in entertainment history…maybe this is one of the reasons she can’t stop the over-exposure thing.
