Jennifer Hudson – ‘If This Isn’t Love’ Video

Published: Wednesday 11th Feb 2009 by Sam

Jennifer Hudson follows-up last year’s ‘Spotlight’ with new single ‘If This Isn’t Love’, the video for which premiered a few moments ago. Directed by Diane Martel, the clip has a simple concept, yet one which powerfully conveys the song’s message. I’ve grown quite fond of the song itself too.

What do you think of the video?

Brandy was caught lipped on Mike and Juliet Morning show to Right here

She got caught lipping who is she to you on TMZ Glyn hair show

Its not fair to the fans that we go out and buy the album we spend r money on them but the artist dont want to put all there heart into live performance.

I wuld rather c the artist giv there all live, they want all r money Right? So the fans shuld get that much and return. They dont want us to download Right? Then y cant they sing live ALL THE F***** TIME?

Jennifer is stunning. I love the song. Yeah the video is simple but I appreciate the fact that the dancers are expressing love in the song.

Clive is a smart man. Jennifer's recordings lean on the "pop" side to have mass appeal, while her live performance is more powerful and soulful. While I know some of the true R&B Soul listeners may be discouraged by this, however, we don't want Jennifer to have limited success as Patti "the Great" Labelle who was challenged by cross-over appeal.

Remember, the "If You Ask Me To" fiasco – Celine stole it with mass appeal, but we all know it was Patti "the Great" that tore that darn song up.

Jennifer, do you remember during your American Idol days you said that a lot of the industry people were trying to get you to wear straight hair, but you prefer curly.

It is unfortunate that after your Oscar win, you know and I know that Hollywood would NEVER let you go back to curly hair. If you want success and not be cornered into the “neo soul” market, you MUST and I repeat MUST keep it straight. So sad.

what the hell does whether her hair is curl or straight have 2 do with anything???? this is why te music industry is so watered down and materlisitic these days…cuz ppl focus so much on the irrelevant things (likecurly or straight hair)rather than the music…so what!!!!!!!! shes still an outstanding artist and now certified diva! get over yourself!

It has a LOT to do with the image she portrays. A LOT.

WOW, I seriously like this song a lot! I REALLY didn’t like “Spotlight,” it was overly LAME to me. But I “If This Isn’t Love,” seems like a great song and sung well. I think this is the style she should go for more often, and WAY over the sound of “Spotlight.”

I’m just waiting for the industry to force her to loose even more weight! She gonna become Star Jones!

JEN looks so good in this vid.
More power to her and i hope this song gets the cross-over appeal.
I’ve heard it alot on several stations in London and the vid should add to its rotation.

    Bring on single 3
