After a lengthy hiatus from the music scene following the abysmal performance of her last LP ‘Brave’ and the birth of her twins, Jennifer Lopez is prepping a return to the limelight. Word has it the singer/actress is readying a greatest hits set, which will also feature new material – ‘Hooked On You’, reportedly, being one of them. Produced by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins Chris & Teeb, the song unsurprisingly bares striking similarity to Janet Jackson’s ‘Feedback’, also a Jerkins produced cut, with its aggressive, thumping, club-ready beat underpinned by Lopez’s ‘soft’ vocals.
Though this isn’t a ‘Feedback’ (Janet hit a homerun with that…she needs another ‘FB’ IMO), this one sounds like a winner. Jenny’s lacking/annoying vocals (at times) aside, the production on this is *hot hot hot*, while the bridge and “My neck and my back” nod spelt *S-W-A-G-G-A*
Hit or Miss?

the song wasn’t produced by Darkchild, it was produced by Chris and Teeb (Drop Zone)

The song is OKAY,not great, but definitely a club thumper. I do admit something is missing,it all sounds a little too familiar, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, either.

It def grows on you with more listens! I’ve had it on repeat all day! I miss J-Lo. You can’t deny she brought those club bangers back in the day that had you dancing at the club. I’m excited for her new album.
Side note. – I like her vocals. Not everyone needs to be a power house singer. Those type of singers get annoying after a while anyways. I cant sit through their albums most of the time. JMO

I think the song is decent. Should do decent at radio. I'm really wanting Jenn.Lope. [yes I didn't say J.Lo] to come hard and gain some more number 1 singles (this decade) because then she'll be up there with Rihanna & Beyonce (5) and Mariah (4), since she so far has 3, she's not to far off ["I'm Real" -Murder Remix, "Ain't It Funny" -Murder Remix, & "All I Have,"].
I do tend to enjoy her music as well. It's never too over the top, and never not worthy enough. It's like just right. I was surprised that "Do It Well," didn't become a bigger hit, shooda reached number 20 on the Hot 100, IMO.
If she gets her head right back into her music [POP MUSIC OF COURSE, I'm can't listen to her latin stuff] she could be near the top of the Pop once again, because her music is really enjoyable.
So overall I did enjoy this single, but the bass almost seemed a bit over powering compared to the vocal level, so I think it should be altered a bit for it's official single release.

…Oh, and this beat goes way harder than “Feedback.” I at least think so!

It’s alright. I actually think her music is cool, like one said, not over the top, but not too under. I hope her greatest hits will include them remixes.
