Kelis isn’t whipping up anymore milkshakes for Nas.The pregnant R&B songstress is looking to divorce her hip-hop star hubby of more than four years, E! News confirmed Thursday.“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce,” said a rep for Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers-Jones. “We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.”She and Nas (full name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) tied the knot Jan. 8, 2005, in Atlanta after a two-year engagement. The pair are expecting their first child together—a son—this summer. Nas has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship. {Source}
WOW! I can’t say I saw this one coming. After being together for so long (in Hollywood years, of course), I really saw these two as the standard-bearers of how industry relationships can stand the test of time. I’m definitely anticipating the reasons for the divorce; I can only imagine it’ll be some drama…
