Pop superstar Britney Spears is celebrating her 10th year in the music industry with a new compilation titled ‘The Singles Collection’. Featuring all her singles to date, the record hits stores November 24th via Jive and will be proceeded by the Max Martin produced new cut ’3′, which you can listen to below.
With ‘Blackout’ and the sound Britney went for with that record pretty much standing as her finest musical moment (IMO), it’s a little hard to digest the so-so/’doing-it-for-the-sake-of’ music she’s been churning out recently. No, it’s not bad, yet nothing I imagine I’d been itching to hit ‘play’ on again. Yawn.
Hit or Miss?

It has HIT written all over it!
Off course she is not going back to the blackout sound with her 10 year anniversary, she goes back to where she started! There is no better song to celebrate the 10 year anniversery of the Queen!
Next album she is going for the dark sound as confirmed, so just be patient a little more and enjoy this pop perfection in the mean time;)

I actually think the song FITS for a “Singles Collection” start. As for the song, me as a Britney fan, it’s not her best but when it comes down too it, we all know Britney can deliver. So IMO, I think the song definitely fits for a ‘Singles Collection’ album. So I have no complaints.

Dont worry, next album will be blackout part 2, cause it is confirmed she is going for a darker vampire style/sound so i think it will be close to Blackot if not better
as for this song, I think it’s the best song to celebrate a Single’s Collection with, I love the idea that she debuted with max Martin song and is closing the Decade(which belongs to her as the queen) with a max martin song as well:)

You know, just because a track shoots up the charts doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worthy of the fact. A song can be catchy without actually being good and a lot of times that’s all it takes to shoot up the Hot 100.
That, and this track isn’t so bad but it’s not the best. Like a few others have said I’m more of the “Blackout” Britney fan but I admit it wouldn’t make sense to open up a best of album with a style that went largely unnoticed so this song fits the bill I suppose. It’s good for what it is but not outstanding IMO.

If Sam hates it, we know it’s good, and is gonna be a big hit. I think his stamp of approval is the kiss of death. See single released from Ciara, Whitney Houston, Ashanti – VS. #1 hits from Rihanna, Mariah, Britney, etc.

Britney is probably the only artist nowadays that constantly delivers ….she knows what her fan’s want hear and smack’s it to them over and over …this track is amazing… Blackout helped redefine the dark electro pop sound long before Ms Ga Ga was flashing her poker face at the world ….Britney deserves a lot more respect from this website but we know she will never get it … but Sam is entitled to his opinion no matter how biased it may be …. Ohhh let’s hope he checked out the list for highest grossing tour of 2009 which went to The Circus starring Britney Spears the same tour he dissed …mmm I wonder what number Beyonce’s tour reached….

RIGHT! how could that be if madonna’s tour broke the record for highest grossing tour of 2009 by a solo artist? you’re ridiculous!

This may grow on me like Womaniser did. I’d rather have a re-release over this ‘singles collection’, but either way some fans will be buying what they already have all over again. I really don’t see the point in young artists releasing so many Greatest Hits collections.

Madonna broke that record in 2008, dumbass. Britney has the highest grossing tour of 2009, Billboard.com says so. Get with the times.

Don’t think it should get the ‘single/radio’ treatment – i do like it, as an album trak. I’m feeling the way it gains momentum as well towards mid onwards.
Does any1 else think its weird she’s releasing a singles collection tho? The only otha albums afta her greatest hits is ‘blackout’ & ‘circus’… dont think its the best timing. would of pref a new album!
