‘It’ singer of the moment, Lady GaGa, is offering a lock of her hair with each purchase of the ‘Super Deluxe‘ edition of her latest release, ‘The Fame Monster’. The album, priced at a whopping $100, is a re-release of her platinum-selling debut ‘The Fame’ and will include 8 new songs, including a duet with Beyonce.
People have been saying that this chick was crazy since she first came on the scene with her Kermit The Frog and Hello Kitty outfits, and now I seriously believe it. First of all, who pays $100 for an album? Yes she’s offering a bunch of trinkets along with the record but unless there’s going to be a block of gold in that box, she is not getting my money.
I know artists have to go the extra mile to survive in the given sales climate but this is just too much. GaGa is certainly a gifted singer, songwriter and entertainer but she relies far too much on gimmicks to sell records. That’s a damn shame.
Tidbit: How can we be sure that we’ll be getting her actual hair with the album and not strands from one of her wigs?

People spend hundreds to a thousand on concert tickets, so why not on a limited edition box like this? I wouldn’t get it, but if I was HUGE Gaga fan, and had lots of spare cash, I’d go for it.
Assuming she reaches icon status in decades to come, they’ll get their $100 back many times over.

How about you get your facts straight before you -post- on a blog? This person’s name is “Trent”, and he didn’t say that the -only- thing you will get is a lock of her hair so his facts are fine. That, and $100 for an artist’s re-released debut album is ridiculous and it’s far too early into her career to be talking about icon status seeing as most of you didn’t know about her before the middle of last year. Enjoy your “:D” by the way.
That said, I do enjoy Gaga’s music but sometimes she annoys me with how desperate she comes off for attention. I’ve always said she’s got a great voice, especially for a pop singer, but if you have to do all this extra asshattery just to get your music noticed (when it already is) then you must not have too much faith in your own ability and it comes off as forced, contrived and annoying. I cannot lie though, I’m looking forward to the Beyonce duet seeing as B damn near never duets with -anyone- ?!

Well it does come with posters, lady gaga glasses, tshirt option, book about her rise to fame, boths albums, hair, stickers sets and stuff…..
I’ve been thinking about it… dunno if I can afford a huge chunk of money gone in one hit on music. lol

ok, focusing on just hair is just stupid especially if it comes with more….if you dnt have the money, dnt buy..i am sure her die hard will snatch it up so what is the problem..
4 mill on her debut album and you say she resorts to gimmicks..ummm, yeah right.. get it gaga..bad romance is my jam..cant get it out of my mind!!! by the way her la show sold out in seconds..i doubt people would pay up so quickly to see a gimmick!! ask rihanna..whaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha!!!

This bitch really must be The Fame Monster if her crazy, everlasting ass thinks somebody is gonna buy an album for a $100. I’ve got it, but do you know what I could do with that? I would never charge a fan that much, especially in these times. But don’t you see, it’s a psych trick. So, by her telling you she thinks she’s worth a hundred dollars, and by you saying hell no all over the web, you’re not only attracting other fans who WILL buy it, just bc you wont, and your admitting that you’ll at least buy the standard which still runs her money, AND you’re giving her free promotion bby hating. Every hater = At least one fan = boost in record sales. You give the artist the power to do this stuff!!!
