Peep the latest Rihanna promotional shot, which surfaced today. I can’t agree with that hair….I just can’t.

In other Ms. Fenty news, it has also been confirmed that the Anthony Mandler (‘Disturbia’) video for new single ‘Russian Roulette’ will premiere November 6th on ABC prime-time. All signs point to it having to be the business, as the majority of folk aren’t feeling the song.

Your thoughts?

    LOL,

That’s not true whatsover, SAM Ham or whoever you are. Some people who write blogs arent feeling it. But many fans and critics are praising the song. Please check your fights if you would like to be as big as any credible blog site. You have a LONNNNNNNNG WAY TO go, and its only justified by the minimum amount of comments you recieve on a daily basis.

    Digital Spy:

For a comeback single from such a huge popstar, it’s a pretty brave choice, which is definitely worth applauding as far as we’re concerned.

    Entertainment Weekly:

After a few listens, I think those risks absolutely pay off. Rihanna is in fine vocal form throughout, and Ne-Yo’s songwriting is economical and evocative per usual. I have a feeling “Russian Roulette” is a single we’re all going to be hearing a lot of in the coming months.

    LA Times:

It’s hard to imagine it blasting out of car windows or even controlling a club, but it’s all attention-grabbing stuff, standing in stark — emphasis on stark — contrast to much of the current pop landscape.

    E Online:

If ever a song’s lyrics were up for intense media scrutiny and armchair overanalysis, this is it. So let’s jump in, shall we?

    MTV News:

Fans have a mostly positive reaction to the new track, calling it ‘different’ and ‘interesting.’

you are a hater and you can’t stop hating….this is a good song and much better than chris’ generic tripe….and by heaping s*** on rihanna and glorifying his ass you’re kinda justyfing his s*** behavior….if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say nothing…if you don’t like the song or performer…okay, acceptable….but you’re simply heaping a shitpile upon shitpile and insult on insult on rihanna and most of the criticism is just plain bitchy…WHAT DID THE WOMAN EVER DO TO YOU, EXACTLY?

Can’t get into the song- too dark and the message is quite disturbing- the gun shot bothers me to high heaven. No, just no, no mam!

  6. Travis October 21, 2009

I hope she is not going to try and hop on the Black and White everything like Ms. Sasha Fierce

  7. Craver October 21, 2009

I’m not feeling her new “image”. One, because it doesn’t really seem to match the lead single, but most importantly because it looks just like that one woman who was said to be copying Lady Gaga recently. You know, the one who released that song “Silly Boy”.

sam if that hair is like that in the vid its a wrap for this child..i already hate the song and i will not be subjected further to rubbish by watching that skunk on her head fly around in the vid…even the director cannot make that look hot!!!

  9. MaZ October 21, 2009

    Love the pic!

Not feeling the “Barbadian roulette”, the promotional track “The wait is ova” is more addictive and dark…

its fake, its contrived, and just because she’s a victim doesn’t mean I’m going to tolerate her bad music. I could care less about her personal life. The production on the song bangs. She is not a good “vessel” for anyone but a musician looking for someone not to sing over his music..her vocals do nothing for me.

and like I said. the image is fake and contrived. I’ll say what I’ve been saying. she looks like an emo wannabe super Saiyan. and lets be honest, I liked Goku better.

Chris brown and rihanna both need to walk away. both of their music sucks and this whole saga is starting to make my head hurt. do yourself a favor and pick up a joss stone cd and save yourself from gun shots and transforming people. :/

Rihanna has no originality and she continues to show there is no limit to her swagger jacking anyone.. If she was trying to prove a point with this song and this look; then it’s failing. Be your self and if you are running something let it be of yours and stop with all this jumping on someones coat tail all the time. Rihanna is what you have made her a big hype. The first single is a song we all know she will not be able to perform live with her talents, her voice was so altered that in the beginning you did not know it was her, so stop hating on Sam when he is speaking the gospel. Chris Brown’s song is way better than Rihanna’s and not just because of the beat.. Rihanna put that first single out because you stans has given her way to much credit and she believes she can do anything and y’all was going to jump on it, not! Her and Melissa have laughed at a lot of artist because of her success, not talent so this is KARMA for the girl from Barbados with no talent. She’s hideing now, and the record label and her marketing is going crazy trying to get this mess up, together in which she is getting ready to sale her soul for the superstar thing again.. But no matter what they do, the bottom line is she has not grown vocally, and she still cant entertain…

Kelly Rowland has been in and out of the studio prepping her first album since parting ways with Columbia Records and Mathew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment earlier this year. One of today’s most sought-after hitmakers, Rico Love, spoke to R*****.com about his involvement with the Destiny’s Child alum’s third solo album.

“I’m actually going to be doing the majority of her record,” reveals the songwriter behind Beyoncé’s “Sweet Dreams” and Mario’s “Thinkin’ About You.” “I did three records for her album so far and she’s touring right now.”

The host of Bravo’s “The Fashion Show” won’t have much downtime during her holiday vacation as there are plans to complete the follow-up to 2007’s Ms. Kelly by January. “I believe we’re going to finish the album over the Christmas break,” says Love, whose latest work includes Leighton Meester’s first single “Somebody to Love” featuring Robin Thicke.

Rowland is reportedly close to finalizing a new deal with EMI Music, home to David Guetta, LeToya Luckett, and Snoop Dogg, but an official announcement has yet to be made. “I believe she’s doing her deal right now. She’s in the process of closing a pretty big deal. I don’t think she’s going to say yet. She’s got the No. 1 song in the world with David Guetta, ‘When Love Takes Over.’”

Her latest gig comes in the form of playing 50 Cent’s love interest in the video for “Baby by Me” off the rapper’s new album Before I Self Destruct.

I’m so happy for Kelly she has talent and she deserves some major success just like Beyonce has.. Michelle to!

  15. Anon October 22, 2009

You think you can just get away with stating complete falsehoods like “majority of folk aren’t feeling the song,” Sam? BACK THAT UP.

Oh, you can’t. Guess you should STFU then?

I love how people who don’t even personally know an artist, can say that they are not being themselves. really? please…do tell? lol

Sam/Ham, Nicky really gave it to you. LOL so damn true.

Im not gonna lie, the song caught me off guard because I wanted it to be a club banger, but Lady Gaga and Beyonce already have that covered. This is a breath of fresh aire. If you weren’t so biased and ignorant, you would understand.

You keep stanning for that Yaki Princess Kelly Rowland. You know, cuz she is a true artist and all.
