‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’, the 2nd single to be lifted from Alicia Keys’ fourth studio album ‘The Element of Freedom’ (due December 15th), premiered a few moments ago on US radio. Produced by Jeff Bhasker, the song is surprisingly new territory for Keys, with its Synth-meets thumping Hip-Hop production. Still, Keys manages to put her own stamp on it, which results in a winner of the track. After getting somewhat bored with Alicia’s ‘samey-ness’, this is awesomely refreshing. I’m actually checking for her ‘Element of Freedom’ now. Great track.
Hit or Miss?

Great beat and a departure from her usually type of sound. But honestly I am not a fan of this song either.

YESSSS! Alicia should have made this the first single! I can hear it…I can hear it loud and clear…and it screams #1!!! Yes, this is better than the first single…BUT to secure that top spot and get that attention, they will need to GO HARD with promoting this song. I love it. I really do. This single has the fire and spice to compete with Chris Brown and to make an impression on everyone. Yes Alicia can give you what you expect but she can give you what you want as well. I certainly hope that the Element of Freedom shows more of this freedom…Thank you SAM for listening to my post yesterday, you’re awsome!!!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!! my girl never disappoints. Totally new territory for her this is soo grimy and it amazes me how she constantly steps outside of her box when it comes to making a new album…this shoulda been the first single but i still love Doesn’t Mean Anything…but this THIS goes hard!!! def go #1 written all over it

This is the shit! I like DMA, but this is the top winner! I love the 90′s feel! Alicia is always perfecting her craft! People calling her a Homewreaking whore, will see she is the queen of the charts next months! If I can’t buy the album, I will download the fuck out of it on Limewire!
Nov 23rd hurry the fuck up and get here!
Miss Keys is the Queen!

Definite hit!! The first single was dope, and I’m diggin’ this track!! Alicia is gonna have yet another classic album on her hands. I’d love to see Alicia perform at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. She is that once in a generation kind of singer.

When I saw the title I was disgusted, but I LOVE this song. After the bland As I Am, this is refreshing to hear!
