Hip-Hip/Soul Queen Mary J. Blige has decided to rename her forthcoming album, changing the title from ‘Stronger’ to ‘Stronger With Each Tear’. The record is preceded by the singer’s new song ‘I Am’ which she is expected to perform for the first time at this Sunday’s star-studded American Music Awards. Blige’s new LP hits stores on November 22nd.
Am I the only who has lost interest in this album? Both Blige and Usher are releasing albums on the same day yet there has been little buzz about either of their projects and neither have managed to achieve blockbuster success with their first singles. As two of R&B’s premier artists, I would have expected such direct competition to garner a lot of media hype but with the average material that both have released, I can’t blame the public for not being engrossed in the situation. It is a complete gamble on which act will have higher sales, or if they will even ship large numbers at all.

I’ll be goin 2 cop MJB’s CD..she always has bangers on her albums. Sometimes people sleep on them tho. Have no doubt that she’ll do big numbers. I might be a lil biased tho since I been down wit MJB since day one..What’s The 411? anybody?

MJB is still the ish. I was likin the first song definitely. I don’t know. It sat well with me. But I usually don’t like the rest of the album because it get so screamy and I don’t like tons of her types of songs. Though she has had some hits, still looks good, and still sounds good. I hope she does well.
Usher on the other hand… the material he has been releasing has been crap. I guess he thought papers were going to be such a big hit because he was actually divorcing his wife, but the song sucked and no one cared that he was divorcing her because they put so much controversy in getting married and his momma told him not to do it anyway. And we alllll know that mama is always right. His career was the ish when she was his manager. Now look at him. I don’t think so.
