Sugababes Perform ‘Get Sexy’ (With Jade) At Children In Need

The new-look Sugababes took to the stage at the BBC’s annual Children In Need special which aired last night. Amelle, Heidi and Jade gave their first live rendition of the Keisha-heavy ‘Get Sexy’, which to put it politely was passable at best. The vocals were a hot steaming mess – this coming from one who knows they can all sing. Their ‘About A Girl’ performance, which you can watch below, was marginally better, but still nothing to scream about. After watching this, it’s vividly clear that they need more time to gel as a group, because this was not the business.

What do you think of the performances?

  • Why waste space on your website for a tribute band! – NEXT!

  • GREAAAAAAAAAAAAT as always!
I really felt the 90’s again for some reason haha!

  • “Keisha heavy”? she has like 3 lines…
    They did well!

  • I thought they were pretty good. ‘Get Sexy’ is Amelle heavy?

  • Yeah I’d say it is Amelle heavy but as usual sam your commentaries are very close to spot on. We would get on so so well.

  • bullshit!!!!!

  • Both performances suck. Honestly, the only one who can actually sing is Jade, just like the only one who could actually sing was Kiesha (and Mutya). Even Siobhan developed an incredible voice after puberty. But Amelle, and ESPECIALLY Heidi are terrible live vocalists. I mean dang…Heidi is TERRIBLE. She and Amelle would get booed off stage if they were unknown women in a talent show. The dance steps are whack as well, but that seems to be a Sugababes staple. You’d think after 11 years and 1,000 lineup changes, somebody somewhere would have taught the girls to dance…I’m just sayin…

  • HOPE THEY FLOP WITHOUT KEISHA!!!!! >:(

  • I totally agree with U Ski, and i say more, they are too lazy to work hard like keisha did, and “to gel as a group” they will need like 10 years or more practicing. It’s a shame what they’re doing with the sugababes.
