New Video: Dirty Money – ‘Love Come Down’

Published: Thursday 12th Nov 2009 by Sam

The video for Diddy’s Dirty Money new single ‘Love Come Down’ premiered a few moments ago. Lifted from his forthcoming LP ‘Last Train To Paris’, the song borders on the fine-line of ‘good different’ and construction work noise. Yet, it still works kinda-sorta-ish. About the video, I’m actually liking this one. Clearly there was a few more $$$ pumped into this one compared to their last video ‘Angels’, which didn’t really go anywhere.

Speaking of not going anywhere, as much as this release and video are very much serviceable, folk just don’t seem to be ‘locking in’ (as Diddy would say) to this Dirty Money movement. I say, at the risk of sounding rather abstract, that it’s to do with the aftermath of the Danity Kane scenario. Diddy P’ed off a lot of folk with the handling of the Danity Kane scenario, and as did Dawn by joining him (although I’m sure most folk would do the exact same thing she did). Whether Dirty Money will be successful remains to be seen.

Tidbit: Diddy knows he’s wrong for them grills. He’s 40 years old for goodness sake. LMAO!

What do you think of the song / video?

Lord have mercy… I’m soooooo over Diddy; not that I was ever really into him. The hook is catchy to a slim degree, but its not something I’d ever go buy, and its a video that I found to be boring, the dancers were wak and If the video came on TJ… I’d turn the channel… It’s crazy… Letoya’s “Regret” video was FAR better and you can tell COST FARRRRRRRR less.

    1. Diddy’s dancing, Diddy acting a fool when they were supposed to create a nice image in that triangle shaped thing, Diddy’s walk towards the camera (QUE?! is it the 1990s?), Diddy breaking up DK .. fothermucker.

    2. That other girl made a square with her fingers when she said ”Wake up in the morning to your face” or someting. Honey that’s nicole in When I Grow Up, or maybe you date squared headed people? I dont know.

    3. Sorta like the song.

F*ck you diddy, cheap backstabbing son of a b*tch

    4. First, again

I think you may be right about the whole Danity Kane/Dirty Money controversy. I like the music they’re putting out, but the public is not locking in to the movement.

FIRE!!! Real R*B HIP HOP BEAT updated new skool, this is where music needs to start heading!

  7. Chad November 12, 2009

Musically, Diddy has never been that great anyways… not to me at least. He did good back in the late 90s when Bad Boy had a decent roster of artists, but this Dirty Money thing isn’t gonna take off. Reality shows and cologne and clothing lines is what he does best 🙂

I THINK DIDDY IS GOING THROUGH A MID-LIFE CRISIS. WHAT’S WITH THE GRILL? & THE BEAT IS RATHER ANNOYING.. YET ODDLY ARTISTIC IN SOME STRANGE WAY. NICE ATTEMPT, I GUESS?

Please for once focus on the music. Ok it’s diddy bla bla. But this s*** is HOT RIGHT HERE. It’s like old skool R&B very nicely done.

This beat goes HARDDD! Love the song (minus Diddy’s parts)…the video, not so much.

Danity Kane has been over for awhile. Folks need to get over it and move on. I don’t understand how people can equate the break-up of Danity Kane to the success of Dirty Money. Beyonce had no problems becoming a successful solo artist after Destiny’s Child’s split-up and DC was a far more successful group than DK. The reality is DK fans or fans of the other members of DK want a reason that justifies (in their mind) their hatred of Dawn and Diddy. Grow up and move on. BTW, I love Dirty Money’s music. It’s different. I think they are going to be quite successful. This Love Come Down video is just the start.

It’d be a fantastic song if the kick/bass weren’t so relentless.

  13. Yan November 12, 2009

Dawn is swaggajacking Keri Hilson. Diddy is the definition of a backstabber.
But… i like the song and the video. Wich one is the correct tag “Diddy” or “Dirty Money” ?
The album will come out under Diddy or Dirty Money’s Name ?

You know those artist that think they are the ‘ish? Yeah, Diddy is one of them. I don’t think the lack of sales means anything in his universe. Either way, if Diddy wasn’t in this song or.. in truth, if he just wasn’t apart of this group, they would be better off.

It’s time for him to retire. Be the first rapper to actually retire when he says he is going to retire. Please and Thank you. :]

  20. Michael D November 12, 2009

Retire? Why would Puff retire? Music is timeless, and like Aaliyah said “age ain’t nothing but a number”. Bad Boy won’t stop, and Dirty Money is just getting started, all aboard LTTP!!!
