A little kid asked lady gaga in one interview she did recently if she was a millionaire, she responded that she wasn’t and that every dollar she makes goes into her work. I don’t know conclusively if what she said is true, but i’m actually inclined to believe it.
Every single performance set she does is so elaborate, over the top and different from the last, that i can’t imagine how it is that she, as a new artist can afford to spend such Michael Jackson levels of money like that. And her “Bad Romance” vid looked hella expensive too. The idea that she spends her millions on her craft just makes sense to me.
WOW. Can you imagine seeing that set up live? She is so darn creative.

Anyhow, @ It’s Me Again – who says it’s Gaga herself that’s putting money into her performances? I’m more inclined to believe the label has the upper hand in supplying and supporting the funds that go into whatever it is she’s doing, not her. And I’m pretty sure a piano hoisted 15 feet up in the air by equipment used from the venue she performed at, combined with extra large fake piano legs covered in some type of weird looking cloth is not Michael Jackson levels of money.
If she’s not a millionaire by now, then contrary to what her fans think, she’s clearly not a business woman. I mean, at this point she really should have that kind of money.

@ Melzy, you really are delusional if you think a man physically abuses a woman because she’s on him 24/7. It’s so much more than that, and if the man has grown up in a situation where he witnessed abuse as a child, he’s more prone to it than those who haven’t. You could be sipping your glass of water the wrong way in order to trigger him to hit you, and not that I’m saying it’s like that for CB, but you should never rule it out. Physical abuse doesn’t have to be provoked, it could happen at the drop of a dime (and usually does!)
Additionally, chances are if your man gives you a REASON to be on him 24/7 (as Chris clearly gave Rihanna with his little text messages from other women in his phone, and god only knows what else), then you’re gonna be watching him closely, period. Make no mistake about it, if Rihanna was on Chris the way people say she was, it’s because Chris was doing something that broke her sense of trust toward him.

As i said, i’m not entirely sure, i may be wrong of course…but, a label may only go so far; look at Rihanna, her label pays for her performances and she pretty much has the same stage set-up and background screen for every performance of a particular song. For Russian Roulette there’s always the chair and the background screen footage. For her other performances it’s just the screen footage. Labels pay up to a point, I think gaga volunteers the rest of the money she needs to fulfill what she wants for each show. Gaga almost never uses the same set twice and she changes up pianos etc, and that costs money.
Her fans do not all think alike, I don’t think we meet up at conferences and decide what we’re gonna think of her collectively, so this “contrary to what her fans think, she’s clearly not a business woman” comment, i’m not quite understanding what that means. Speaking for myself, i don’t know if she’s a good business woman, nor do i particular care whether she is or not, i just like her performances, her songwriting and her voice.
