Jennifer Lopez appeared on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ this evening. Demonstrating what seems to be a complete 180 in the label’s decision to scrap the struggling record, Lopez performed the struggling ‘Louboutins’, which has yet to debut on the Billboard charts. The singer’s ‘Love?’ album hits stores in March 2010.
Although clearly lip-syncing, Lopez delivered an electrifying performance. By including an element of entropy and changing the previous choreography, she captured my attention from beginning to end. Furthermore, the fact that she was able to do most of the moves in those Louboutin heels is quite a feat in itself. Good stuff.

I’m sorry… I just can’t get over the fact that this song is just a whole advertisement trying to market Louboutins to me. I wonder how much money J-Lo gets paid just for singing it…

You people are never satisfied. She gives her all and an amazing performance, but yet she over did it? STFU. She did just enough and needed to in order for the record to get more airplay. She needed a knockout performance and delivered one. At least she wasn’t lazy like some people I won’t mention and changed up the choreography. HATERS.

I agree that an entertainer can never “overdo it” lol.
That’s what they’re supposed to do, go all out to entertain you…it’s their job. People are so happy with mediocrity that when someone actually attempts to do their job properly it’s deemed too much lol.

The label never decided to scrap the single that was a rumor. If Britney Spears and Janet Jackson can get away with lip syncing then JLo can 2. I thought it was very entertaining wish her the best with the single.

The label never scrapped the single, that was just a rumor from this blog. You also fail to mention that the song hasn’t even gone on Itunes yet and it just went for radio adds last week. This song hasn’t had a chance to flop or be successful yet. You should really check your facts before making such biased posts.

This was SO MUCH BETTER than the other performances of the song. The theme and choreography were cute and sassy. The way it always should’ve been. And she didn’t have to try to do that jump!!!

I usually don’t mind lip syncing, but on SYTYCD? The sister show to AI?
I’m guessing a lot of people here don’t watch the show. The reason why I enjoy SYTYCD musical guests so much is because they almost NEVER lip sync. And when they do – the last time I remember someone lip syncing was Kristinia Debarge (Who? Exactly. Girl wasted a huge opportunity to get noticed) – it really sticks out.
Yes JLo is an already established artist, but she seems to be re-inventing herself. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry pretty much launched their singles on this show by singing live. Yes Gaga tuned down the dancing but it was still rally impressive.

The performance was cute but that song is terrible, and she’s still lypsyncing. Mary J. Blige, Adam Lambert and Leona Lewis sang with their real vocals but JLO’s constant lypsyncing totally ruins her credibility as being genuine. Sure she did a dance routine lypsincing and danced in heels, but the stars that learn to dance on “Dancing with the Stars” perform incredible, and daring stunts in high heels all the time and JLO did not match that.
JLo needs to get out there and sing LIVE, and quit trying to fake it in the music industry.

I think she learned from the AMA”s, and put something fresh, class and sexy.
She’s a performer, worked hard for it and never had the ambition to be a vocalist. People are mistaken about her.

I find it quite amusing that some of you don’t even seem to realize she did the SAME song as at the AMAs, only with different (slightly more appropriate) staging and styling.
It is true that Britney, Mariah, etc. do lip-synch, which is one of the reasons why I don’t care for any of them. But I do think the lip-synching seems particularly ludicrous when it’s “performed” on a show on which other people are risking life and limb.
The song is mediocre as can be and has a name most people can’t even pronounce. I predict it will die a miserable death.

If you are familiar with Jlo’s work, she is a performer not a vocalist. What is always showcased about her is her dancing not her voice. This is a multi-talented artist who sings, dances and acts and has proven all of these talents in big platforms. She does not need SYTYCD to prove her talents.
Come on folks! Give credit where credit is due. JLO has sold plenty of records and her songs have placed at the top of the charts many times before. This song might not be one of her best ones but even vocalists like Beyonce don’t always place at the top for every song they produce.
