As our girl Kelly Rowland puts the finishing touches to her third studio album, a remix of Mario‘s ‘Thinkin’ of You’ featuring the Destiny’s Child alum surfaced a few moments ago.
While it may seem like somewhat of a random song for Ms. Kelly to jump on, it hardly surprises us as The Runners produced cut was penned by Rico Love (Beyonce’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ and ‘Radio’), who is overseeing Kelly’s project.
About the song itself, Ms. Kelly worked it out! As well as adding another dimension to the already cracking track, Kelly’s vocals (as evidenced by some of the adlibs and runs) show a lot of vocal maturity (we always knew she could cut it live, yet previous studio recordings had been played too safe IMO). Great remix!

The song is HOT!! Mario is quite the crooner and Kelly’s voice is the icing on the cake. Sam,I don’t think that Kelly’s previous studio recordings have been played to safe. One of the best things about Kelly is she can sing any genre and make it her own. Her voice is so versatile. She can sing jazz,pop rock,dance and ofcourse we know she’s an r&b veteran. When the song calls for simple, soft,smooth yet colorful vocals Kelly delivers;and when the song calls for powerful vocals with intricate rifts and runs Kelly can deliver that too. She’s just good like that. However,I still think she’s capable of even more than what she’s shown thus far. Vocally,I don’t believe she’s reached her peak,which is a good thing. It means we have more to look foward to from this oh so talented siren. I can’t wait to be blown away by her new album. Rico Love was quoted saying that ‘vocally,Kelly is better than ever and this album will be her best yet’. I only wish we were getting the album early next year. I guess I can wait for Kelly so long as I have Monica to hold me over. 2010 is the year of the real vocalists.

You’ve kind of been sleeping on my girl Kelly. She’s got alot going on right now other than recording her album. Elton John personally requested that Kelly Rowland be the featured performer for the annual Aids Awareness day fundraiser in London. Kelly will be performing a 45 minute set. She is also set to tour Australia in 2010. She will be one of the acts traveling with the Ladies and Gentlemen tour which will also feature Neyo,Akon and Pitbull. Not to mention her NRJ Music Award nomination for song of the year(When Love Takes Over ofcourse). Kelly is doing BIG things Sam,and you haven’t been posting half of what she’s been up to lately. What’s up with that?

if you dont have nothing nice to say dont say nothing at all. Its always the lames from St.pete that hate the hardest. Ms. Kelly is doing her thing she is a talented and beautiful person I love Kels so much. This track is sick and Mario made the perfect choice cuz Ms. Kelly bout to take over and shut a lot of artist down. I must admit I never knew anything about her Ms. Kelly cd after Bumb like this (Matthew did her dirty). Ms. Kelly the ablum was fiyah and could have been #1 IMO. I loved every track on the ablum its such a shame I’m just hearing the album in 2009 when it came out in 2007. Oh well now I’m down for Team Kels all day everyday not many artist sing live anymore and the ones that do come nowhere close to Kelly.
