As 2009 draws nearer to its close, we will be acknowledging the releases, events and shocking moments that have made the last 12 months one of music’s most memorable ever with our 3rd annual That Grape Juice: End of Year Awards.
Shaking things up somewhat from last year, the nominations process has been stream-lined this go round, with the provisional list of categories and nominees listed below. Prior to nominations going live and voting commencing this Thursday (December 17th), we’re keen to hear your feedback/suggestions on both the nominees and categories, which you can drop in the comments section below!
So quickly recapping, the final nominee list as well as actual voting goes live on December 17th. Winners will be thereafter announced on Christmas Day ( December 25th)!

Why in the world would you nominate Ciara like she had a big year! I am not a stan of either, but Keri Hilson had a bigger year than her, and I don’t recall seeing her name as much.

i dont get it, you ppl are hypocrites how can you call sam biased & 85% of you are biased yourselves. most of you are rihanna fans, so you’re gonna think anything she does is great (even if it’s not), you’re also gonna think that she deserves to be the the “best everything” categories… seriously GROW UP!
@ chile: the albums that are nominated have been out longer than 3 months with the exceptionf of gaga.

I LOVE Ciara, but in my honest opinion, I feel she should only be nominated for 3 awards. *Most Slept on Album, *Most anticipated comeback for ’10, and *Best Live preformer because this wasn’t her best year, simply due to the fact her album WAS slept on and snubbed. She constantly proves herself in the preformance area cuz she truly gives u a show…limited vocals or not. Again, her album was slept and snubbed IMO due to the fact that she sort of stepped outside of her urban roots…ppl never really gave it a chance bcuz it wasn’t the usual Ciara ppl wanted (urban fanbase). And I feel since she’s going back to her Goodies days, I’m sure her urban fanbase and others that began to love bcuz of that stage and vibe will have their tounges wagging. They will get what they want and more, therefore making her ’10 comeback anticipated…Ciara in her prime, or true form.

Puccie, Lady GaGa and Chris Brown’s cd’s are too new to be included in anything. Even the videophone remix is too new. And ur right, everybody is biased to some degree, but when putting together anything that has to do with awards, u should have a process of getting the noms together…not just some queens from a dif country who are adding an artist like Alexandra Burk in the mix. How the hell does she fit in with all these other american artists?
And who is Kesha and why is she nominated for best new artist? is this supposed to be Ke$ha? cuz I havent seen her on this site…
