This week’s From The Vault video comes in the form of Destiny’s Child’s festive classic ’8 Days of Christmas’. One of the most recent songs to join an elite list of Holiday classics (2001) and certainly the most Urban, this one is sure to elongate that Christmas feeling well beyond the big day itself. Great song!

Ok now I know Sam smokes crack. I am a Beyonce STAN and I am embarrassed by this song. It’s everything that’s wrong with Christmas these days, has no relation musically to the holiday and if full of rubbish lyrics. My hate for this song is tenfold. New holiday classic? Only in hell.

On that note, never should i have to hear the words “sexy” and “dirty denim jeans” in a Christmas song. I’d hate to be at your Xmas party, truly.

Thank you Sam for posting this and thank you Dane for for showing that you have sense unlike some of the others that have the nerve to hate on Destny’s Child. The song & video are decent at the very least.

By no means classic this song is about having material worth and nothing more with a holiday flare this was one of the group”s wrost songs in my opinion. Sorry Sam

I love this song. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the lyrics- I feel it was creative at least. And if it was so bad, it wouldn’t be on the radio, on damn near every station at Christmas time. People, get over yourselves and leave Sam alone, it’s a nice song…case closed

I love this song. I’ve had this album since it’s release and every year play during christmas time. It just gives me that excited feelnig that christmas is here. The album to me is one of my classics and I will never get bored of it. People who are saying Mariah’s exmas song it better need to get a life. There both completely different styled songs. No wonder why people don’t bother releasing christmas songs anymore. No one appreciates them.

I’d rather people not bother releasing Christmas songs than releasing ones with vapid materialistic lyrics that are the antithesis of the season. You’re all simple.

I miss DC! I love all their albums. They all sounded so much better when they were in a group than when they are solo. Even Beyonce sounds better than she does now. Their music was 10 times better too. Come back DC!
