This week’s From The Vault classic is Lil’ Kim‘s year 2000 smash ‘No Matter What They Say’. Featuring the pint-sized rapper at her best (looks and lyrics), this is a great throwback to the days when female rap actually made an impact chart-wise. Great song, even better video.
Tidbit: Doesn’t anyone else see a few parallels between KIM and a certain Nicki Minaj? I’m just saying…
I definately see similarities between Kim & Nicki. They both were over-the-top s*** with a bubbly pesonality but Nicki has a better flow/delivery imo.

Kim is the original barbie of female M.C’s. When it comes to rap, Kim wins hands down! Nicki Minaj lyrics and delivery sound like double dutch rhymes. Kim on the other hand, lyrically tells a story which is what I thought rap was all about! Nicki can flow but it seems like she is more image than substance, all while mimicking Lil Wayne’s style. There is nothing original about Nicki Minaj.
Kim should have never did that madness to her face.
