Whitney Houston was spotted performing on the Japan leg of her ‘Nothin’ But Love’ world tour yesterday in Saitama. The diva, who admitted to lip-syncing some of the the up-tempo material during recent performances, sang several songs from her platinum-selling album, ‘I Look To You’. Check for more images below:

Yes, we do applaud Whitney. It simply means that with virtually no air play outside of R and B her album has sold well. For her to be back on stage and doing a world tour is nothing short of a miracle . As for comparisons–why don’t we just celebrate all of these ladies and wish them well instead of picking apart the “lip-synching and back tracking” issue. It’s just an “issue” that the media love to bring up and overblow–but for the artists who are up there dancing and singing at the same time–they need a little breath support. It’s not cheating–they are singing over their own tracks–it’s their voice–it keeps up the tempo–who wants to go to a live concert with gazzilions of spaces of no voice? Fans of an artist go to live concerts. Fans understand and support their favorite artists. I, like many , am thrilled to see Whitney

DONT DO IT 90% of Beyonce’s shows are live. She only uses back tracks (inwhich she sings over them) to songs with non stop dancing ie Get Me Bodied. But majority of her uptempos are sung live All of her ballads are 100% live. Beyonce has an excuse anyway she dances. And SOMETIME, in fact RARELY does she lip on awards shows like the VMA, BET Awards, etc. But thats because those numbers and performances have the most dancing in them. You know that Whitney only lipped For the Lovers and Nothing But Love the first night in Korea cause she was dancing up a storm. She called her self out and said ‘I tried but I just can’t lipsync’ ‘this mess ain’t working’ and she sang the remainder of the 1st night all live.
2nd day Korea, she sang the verses live to Fore the Lovers and sang over backing tracks for the chorus. The remainder o fthe concert was live.
You just want to give mimi space for lipping throughout her concerts especially tacking on that whistle track. That is a fail!
