Global star Kelly Rowland is currently wrapping up the recording process of her hotly anticipated third studio album; and That Grape Juice can EXCLUSIVELY confirm that the 28 year old singer has recently enlisted hit-maker Ne-Yo for the project. The ‘Miss Independent’ singer/songwriter joins the likes of Brian Kennedy, Jermaine Dupri, Bangladesh, Baby Face, Toby Gad, David Guetta, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Bryan-Michael Cox, Eric Hudson, and The Stereotypes, all of whom Rowland has worked with on the album.
As previously reported, the Destiny’s Child alumni is preparing to formally announce her new record deal with Universal Motown, home to the likes of Lil’ Wayne and Young Money, Akon, and Nelly.

Granted the work of above-mentioned list of producers may not all make it onto the final tracklist, it certainly makes for an exciting read as well as awesome prospects for the sound of Ms. Kelly’s record. Now that Ne-Yo is on board, things are looking even better. With Kelly looking to fuse Urban and Dance this go round, I’d certainly welcome Ne-Yo serving up something in the vein of ‘Closer’ and/or ‘Miss Independent’ for our girl. I guess time will tell. This is GREAT NEWS :-)!!!! Kelly is really experimenting with different writers and producers. Does anyone know when exactly is her cut off date is for recording? I bet these beat makers are all jumping on board because they’re hearing what Kelly is coming up with. This is really going to be her year. Maybe even a tour with Ne-Yo since he has a new album coming out soon.
I am very happy with Kelly. Over the past year she has made decisions that a lot of people could not make. She has jumped over huge hurdles as well. She had an international song, a Grammy award, and the hype around here 3rd studio album is incredible!

“closer” is easily ne-yo’s best song, IMO, so if he comes up with something half as brilliant, it should be pretty damn good.
and yeah, global star is a bit of an odd term. maybe international star or something, but to be global, you have to have broad appeal and be able to conquer the US market. kelly’s talented but she’s not done that yet.
I am so excited for this album! This is the type of music I’ve always thought would suit her voice so happy that she can finally voice how she wants her project to be. Matthew really did her wrong but he will get whats coming for him! I love this woman because nobody has a heart like her and I know she will come with new hot and fierce beats!

i love kelly and i cant wait for the album to drop, i love how information on this album leaks out gradually, building anticipation. i would be happier with a single though.i remember when people were quick to write kelly off when Destiny,s child wrapped and she left the Knowles camp, well a year later, with no album and no record company (then), she performed on hit shows, award ceremonies, sold out arenas in Asia and Europe and won a grammy. now she,s found a new Label and new sound i cant wait for her to come out and silence the critics.

She turned an amazing track into an amazing(grammy winning)song and put Guetta on the map. She has way too many fans to flop. Her fanbase has definitely increased since Simply Deep and is only going to become larger. Kelly’s not scared so neither am I.
