A new song from Janet Jackson has finally surfaced! The Darkchild-produced track, entitled ‘Heartbeat Love’, features Pitbull, Rock City and Trinidadian Soca titan Machel Montano. Jackson’s new album will be released later this year.
This song is amazing! It is completely different from anything that she has ever done before and will definitely stand out amongst everything else on radio today. For those of you who don’t know what Soca music is, it is a genre that comes from my country of Trinidad and Tobago and is hybrid of Calypso (which also comes from my nation) and Chutney. If Jackson wanted a worldly vibe to this album, then she certainly found it with this track. Montano is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most successful artists because of his energy; something that he undoubtedly lends to Jackson on this record. Great stuff!

If you don’t like the new music now, then stay in your era with the music you like floating around on your ipod on Genius.
Songs aren’t always meant to be deep, touching and meaningful.
Some songs are created to break the trend, flow along with it..and are solely meant for the dance floor.
People are responsible for the new wave in music right now, in terms of it being more digital. If it really wasn’t ‘that’ good, then the sales and club responses to it wouldn’t be so incredibly great and overwhelming.
Also, i love this song.

I usually can’t stand PitBull, but this is pretty cool. I love the beat, but I just wish Janet’s voice went a bit stronger. Pitbull is going hard on the mic but then you get Janet’s much softer vocals and it’s just uneven.

I love the song. But due to Janet’s calibur in the music industry, I don’t see why she always have to has features. Also to the people complaining about Janets voice. LOVE the upbeat feeling and ‘world’ dance beat. Unfort I think whatever janet does people will just say she has ‘weak’ vocals, that high pitched whispery sound is just HER thing…she isnt a powerhouse vocalist, isnt, wasnt and never will be.

time for her to come out the box and hit some powerful notes or find a vocal teacher to show her how, she is singing the same way over and over and over.
She just need’s one hot song with strong vocals to get back into the game.
She will never have a come back with this breathy weak vocals.

I love this song. It’s hot and full of energy. I love Pitbull, Janet , everything about it. For those of you who do not undertsnad the Trinidadian culture I really don’t expect you to understand this song either. But I can tell you one thing, people in the Caribbean are extremely pleased. And I’m glad to see that Janet has broaden her horizens into another culture. This is Carnival music…She did this one for the people of the Caribbean, the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
