Toni Braxton made a guest appearance on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ today. The diva performed the official 2nd single from her upcoming ‘Pulse’ album, ‘Make My Heart’. ‘Pulse’ hits stores on May 4th.
Although she was clearly lip-syncing, Braxton worked the life out of that stage. She oozed sex appeal and got into the choreography without looking forced or awkward in the least. ‘Make My Heart’ has grown on me a lot since I first heard it and I can definitely see it doing big things on the charts if given the right music video and promotion. Great stuff!

Toni killed that! I’ve liked the song ever since it leaked! But why in the hell hasn’t “Looking At Me” been released?! That would be a successful single. I really hope it gets the single treatment.
Love the song & she performed this really well. Idk y she was lip syncing thou. Her voice is too great to be lip-syncing. But, i’ll let her pass this one time. But, if she would’ve sang this live, she would’ve truly SMASHED! Btw, just purchased the song. 1st time I heard it on this performance, instantly loved it. That’s one of the few times that’s ever happened to me in life.

She looked hot. It was definitely a different look for her especially because she was missing for so long. I know she can sing so I just think it was because she was on that particular show. I don’t like the song that much but she looked good.
oh my, toni lip synching is not good. Yes, she worked the stage but the fact that she lipped put her in J-Lo’s territory for me and was disappointing.
I don’t think her album will do well but I wish her luck.

So what she lip synched. Real singers can do that because it saves their voice for big shows and upcoming tours. That’s how the business works – and she is one of the few truly talented singers out there. The clip was nice, now we’ll see if the video director does the song justice.

Well everyone can’t be Beyonce singing live and dance at the sametime, But I love the song.
Side note: Why do the two dancers look like those dudes that were on Martin when Gina hired a wedding planner! ROFL, ok, moving on, the performance was good, it seems there are a good amount of singers that have a hard time sounding good while dancing, so that’s why a few choose to go that route, not saying that was the case for sure here because I don’t know. Either way, Toni looks good! WORK!
Her new song sucks, but at least she kept it classy unlike other singers.
Not sure about the song. I hate it when singers lipsynch though. First it was Mariah, then came Beyonce who used a backing track every time she sings, and now Toni lipsynching the whole song. I’m so disappointed. There are only a few true live vocalists out there…..just sad.
Go Toni!!! Glad to see her back in action. I love the single Yesterday and this one should od well also. Toni has a heart condition so I am sure she has to be careful but she worked it out anyway.
SANITY KANE, I had the same thought you did about the dancers. LOL Toni Braxton’s performance for me was OK. She has a beautiful voice, but I did not like the song.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the song, it’s on repeat on my IPOD. Can’t say I was feeling this performance, though. I think I needed two more dancers and Toni to have recorded a rough vocal to give more of a live effect. I don’t need her to actually sing live – especially not on a dance track, just record a vocal or two that you use for your tv performances.
I also think the performances will get better and it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS that American commercial radio will probably pass on this one but American radio passes on everything except thug/southern rap, the Black Eyed Peas and Ke$ha these days.

Forget about the extraneous choreography and other nonsense – a singer doing a ‘live’ show should be singing live. Not lip syncing or using pitch correction devices. Braxton doesn’t deserve any accolades.
