Christina Aguilera sent her fans into a frenzy moments ago when she finally announced the official release date of her upcoming studio album. The LP, ‘Bionic’, will hit stores on June 8th and will be preceded by the singer’s new single, ‘Not Myself Tonight’. The mystery created by this promotional campaign has definitely created a strong buzz across the web regarding what the singer will do next. I see no hint of GaGa in this cover. However, Christina has completely swagger jacked the cover of Janelle Monae’s 2008 album and its follow-up The ArchAndroid. Monae’s albums follow the evolution of CIndy Mayweather, an android living in the city of Metropolis. Mayweather falls in love with a human, which distinctly forbidden, and she goes on the run after being scheduled for disassembly.
I don’t know what Christina’s slant on this whole “android” look is and I’ll reserve judgement for the time being. If I was Monae though, I’d be kinda pissy right now.

No matter how much y’all like WTF want to deny it, Christina is one of the best artists that came out in 1999. After she was finished promoting and touring with her debut album, she fired her management because she didn’t like the pop bubblegum image they wanted to give her. She enlisted in her own manager, who allowed her to have creative control over Stripped. Even though her Stripped era was labeled trash and heavily criticized, she didn’t let that keep her down nor did she entertainment all the negative reviews and ostracism instead she kept pushing harder and harder and didn’t give up and that’s what makes Christina so unique and a true artist at work! The reason we have to wait years between albums is because Christina truly believes in giving her fans what they truly deserve and want and her music is better put together than some others who’s name are left unmentioned but brought up constantly in previous posts. When christina describes her album, she goes into detail of everything she worked on, what new things she tried, and all the new and different techinques she put into her songs! Today, we all have to suffer from the likes of Lady Gag-Me, Rih-Tard, Beyonce, Kesha etc….. because they are doing exactly what Christina tried to establish during her Stripped era and are getting heavily praised for their work unlike Christina who was trash mouthed and banned from certain stations because of her provocative nature. Sure the times have changed since 2002 but Madonna has been provocation for over 20 years, same with Mariah etc….and they are all praised for what they do! Lady-Gag Me has a history with incorporating other aritists styles and ideas into her own and overdoing it and being too over the top with it. Rih-Tard would’ve never blown up and become as popular if Jay Z had never taken her under his wing and molded her. I love Christina because even though she makes you wait a long ass time for new music, the quality of it just blows you away once she begins sharing everything with you!
