Young Money heavyweights Drake and Nicki Minaj feature on the cover of the May issue of XXL magazine. The cover’s strapline ‘The Rebirth of Rap Royalty’ is sure to get tongues wagging – especially since neither artist have even released their debut albums yet. Still, more power to them…I guess. {Spotted over at Young Money HQ}

Rihanna just broke another record, Rude Boy is the only song ever to get the most airplay 6 weeks in a row!

Expect a major setback with both releases, not being able to live up to the hype, i will be silent as the walls of truth fall hard on those in denial, Drake you have had your biggest hits and had the chance to win a Grammy that was a shoe-in but it is over and Lil Wayne is not out to save you.

This has got to be the dumbest shit ever! Neither of these two have an album out. Can you say OVERHYPED! Both their new solo singles are horrible too. And can someone tell Nicki to please take the silly blonde wig off her head. You are not Lil Kim boo. I’ll wait for the official numbers of their albums and to actually hear it before saying anything else.

Drake looks very fake here, but it’s kinda sexy. Nicki Mirage…lose the wig, bitch. It’s not cute.
Massive Attack is really starting to grow on me though, I can’t even front.

@GHETTOFAB -
And who else would you prefer to be on the cover of XXL representing where hip hop is going right now? Both represent the new generation in their own right. Nicki is the new Trina/Lil Kim and Drake has this Kanye swag going on. He’s a pretty incredible lyricist.
No one else in hip hop is this relevant right now in terms of ‘new blood.’
XXL had to make a story.
@12345 –
How is that relevant to this article? :v
@JP5 -
I actually completely agree with you. I think that they photoshopped him extra hard to give him that ‘look’ I think.

I definitely think they are overhyped but i like both of them. UM, why are there even any other members of Young Money? All we need is Drake, Nicki, and Wayne. Those other rappers on that team must be pissed. I know I would be
I wish them both the best of luck.
